What looks like a collection of antique books, is in fact merely the façade behind which we’ve hidden our most mysterious rooms. Once you’ve found the door, you can drop down on the luxury bed, and take a good look around. To relax (maybe read an actual book), you can take a seat in one of the Chesterfields in front of the cases, where we also serve breakfast. Like in the rest of Hotel Not Hotel, not all is what it seems here. Some mirrors or paintings conveniently double as a one-way window, so you can see when it’s safe to come out of your hiding place, but no one can look inside… Room features: One double bed, Shared Bathroom.

Book a bed (or more) in our shared 4-Bed Dorm at Generator Amsterdam. This room features 2 bunks (4 beds) and a private bathroom, offering a comfortable stay for travelers. Each bunk is equipped with a light, personal shelf, USB charging station, and under-bed lockers. Pillow, duvet, and linen are included. Towels are available at reception for a small fee. I am a private room in the most Local Boutique hostel in Haarlem. You can sleep with me in a bedstead with a pull-out drawer for two or three people. I have my own shower and sink. They couldn't fit the toilet in anymore, but don't worry, there are two just outside the room in the hallway. In my restaurant, you can have a local breakfast. Or come and get a Haarlem beer with a snack at my bar and sit on my open patio. See you there!

Our lovely hostel is located in a wonderful quiet neighbourhood Plantage, within walking distance to the centre. Nearby you can find plenty of restaurants to dine in and some cafes, pizzerias, public transport is well located (1 min to catch a tram #14 to the Central Station). 10 min walk to the metro at Weesperplein. Our neighbours are the Botanical Garden and the popular Zoo Artis.
