One out of our five delicately renovated apartments located on the second floor of a charming, characterful farmhouse. It is one of the oldest buildings of a cosy little village in the Valle d’Isarco in Northern Italy. We find ourselves right in the center of sun-blessed South Tyrol, on a hilltop at the entrance of the Gardena and Funes valleys. Close to the dolomites mountains but not far away from the popular towns of Bolzano and Bressanone it is an ideal starting point to explore the region.

This stylish 2-room apartment (57 m²) has been completely renovated and offers everything you need for your holiday in the center of Merano. In the entrance area, there is an open wardrobe and a bench. The bathroom features a great shower and a toilet with bidet. In the living area, there is a kitchen with essential amenities, a dining area, and a large sofa bed (180x 200 cm). In the bedroom, there is a large double bed (180x 200 cm) and an open wardrobe.

Stachelburg Residence - Living within historic walls

15 minutes from Bolzano and Merano is an elegant 65 sqm apartment on two floors with a separate entrance, consisting of a living room\kitchen, a bedroom (full bed) and a bathroom, to offer you a comfortable stay. The apartment is in a suitable location to reach the famous Christmas markets in a few minutes. The apartment is in a 16th century castle. On the ground floor of the castle is a small restaurant, where you can spend a nice evening.

Right in front, we find the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. In two minutes on foot you can also reach the Archaeological Museum of South Tyrol, where Ötzi, the ice man, is kept and we are therefore in the heart of the city, with its historic center, its arcades and characteristic places.

The farm runs a horse pension; it also houses a few sheep, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and cats. The apartment is on the 1st floor of our house, independent, with fully equipped kitchen and incl. At the foot of Tyrol Castle, just outside Merano, our farm is surrounded by its own vineyards. In a very short time, the Tappeinerweg, the Waalweg, but also the old town of Merano can be reached. The farm appears to have been mentioned in a document for the first time in 1323. A mighty round arch vault and iron doors still bear witness to the time.
