More than just a beautiful place This place is part of Remote Republic. The idea is simple: we rent out beautiful places – and use the income to enable social organisations to use places like these free of charge. Your booking here helps support our Schiffmühle location, where the boathouse and the grounds along the Alte Oder river are regularly open to social groups at no cost. This 61 m² garden apartment offers space to arrive and breathe. It sits quietly and close to nature in Wandlitz, about a 5-minute walk from Lake Wandlitz, with a separate entrance and its own terrace. Swimming spot just around the corner: only 300 m away is a free bathing spot on Lake Wandlitz — steps lead into the lake right in the woods, and dogs are allowed in the water too. The apartment is intentionally designed for a maximum of two adults – not a family setup, but a place for retreat, focused work, or relaxed days out in nature. We place particular value on sustainability: the apartment runs on climate-friendly heating, modern boiler/heat-pump technology, and a solar system – for a good feeling throughout your stay.

In the flat there is a kitchen with kitchen facilities (cooker and oven, fridge, sink, dishes and kitchen utensils), a bathroom with shower and washer and a bed-/living room (both in one). The bathroom has got central heating, but the kitchen and the bed-/living room need to be heated by tile stove (of course we'll heat it up before your arrival - so it will be nice and cosy when you arrive). The bedroom has got two single beds and one chest of drawers. It is possible to add one extra mattress or a cot. Linen and towels are available. The flat has it's own entrance and can be accessed without crossing our backyard (where you would meet our dog, 6 cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, turtles, chicken and the sheep on the meadow right behind our lot - as you can see, we have quite a little farm here :-) ).

Relax in this special and quiet accommodation, picturesque village Ihlow, in the Märkische Schweiz (5km walk through the forest to Buckow), 55km east of Berlin. You can swim in the Reichenower Lake (3km) or in the Grosser Thornowsee. If you don't have a car, you can get there by bus or bicycle (18km) from Straussberg Nord station. Now it's here: the summer season. An hour's drive from Berlin, you will find this stylish apartment with fireplace, which was only restored in 2024. The house with this apartment is already 150 years old and has retained its historic charm: inside with timber-framed construction, rustic floorboards, clay walls and of course with the original house entrance door. The Oderland hiking trail runs directly in front of the property and in one kilometer you can also reach the 66 lakes hiking trail.

The location: Just a few steps to Lake Straus with several swimming spots, a festival stage, a diving school and an ice cream cafe right outside the door. The old town of Strausberg with Europe's only electrically powered ferry is also waiting.

We love contrasts - In Schloss Lanke, we rent a spacious 100 sqm loft in the attic. A castle loft. French Neo-Renaissance on the outside, subtle minimalism on the inside. Urban living comfort meets the lush nature of the Barnim Nature Park. Both together create the perfect setting for rest, relaxation and deceleration. In addition to vacation rentals, Schloss Lanke also houses the owners' apartments as well as office space on the first floor. We respect our privacy.

Pure nature - garden house near Berlin

Our cozy bungalow is in the middle of nature – ideal for unwinding. A small, directly adjacent estate park invites you to take a walk. There is also a farm shop in the village with regional products. Other shopping options and the train station are only 5 minutes away by car. Lake Gamen is a 12-minute walk away and offers clean water and many cozy swimming spots, as well as a swimming beach with a snack bar and café. Bicycles are available upon request.

The apartment is located in a detached house with separate entrance and is about 65 m² in size. It is about 30 minutes from Berlin. To Bad Freienwalde and Eberswalde about 15 minutes. A car is absolutely necessary here. Brunow is the ideal starting point for hikes on the 66 Lake Hiking Trail and many other beautiful routes. The property is also interesting for hikers, as there is a storage facility. Dogs are welcome on request.
