Unique activities hosted by local experts vetted for quality

  • Meet and Draw a llama
Learn to draw a llama. This activity suits all drawing levels. We will be drawing together step by step, at your level. You will meet Cadbury the amazing llama. Practise your observational skills to notice what makes llamas unique. See you he moves, how he eats. Meet his best friends as we take a tour of his paddock and learn about llamas. We will then start drawing. You will learn some conventions of animation, that allow your llama to show different emotions. Use your imagination, to draw your llama doing activities you may never have thought possible! You will learn easy ways to draw complex poses. Other things to note You will need to hold your work up to the camera on your device, for me to see it. Drawing with a texta or soft lead pencil (2B) works best for this reason.

  • Wildlife, Waterfalls & Wine
This big day out to the south of Sydney winds through Australia's oldest national park, takes in spectacular coastal scenery along the Grand Pacific Drive, then climbs the sandstone escarpment to return via the forests and farmland of the picturesque Southern Highlands. Along the way you'll see native Australian wildlife, traverse the iconic Sea Cliff Bridge, enjoy lunch at a seaside cafe - and perhaps a dip in the ocean - and wander through a eucalyptus forest to see a towering waterfall. You will also sample some of the cool-climate wines for which the region has developed a reputation. If you are more interested to focus on estate-grown wines and fine dining with regional produce then our new Taste of the Highlands tour might be a better fit for you. Whether you’re new to writing or a seasoned pro, we’ll explore a plan for you, plus brainstorm ideas & practical 'take-away' techniques to help you create & publish your masterpiece. Write what you’ve always dreamt of - any genre & style - from fiction to non-fiction. Tangible outcomes include a personalised writing process & schedule for your style & genre (as well as your personal writing routine), plot arcs & outlines, book title & summary, character development, chapter structure & titles, cover artwork & layout design, motivational methods, confidence building & much more… Plus, tips for traditional, hybrid & self-publishing on Amazon, including eBooks & AudioBooks, & promotion/public speaking & sales techniques. This is an 'online' version of my ‘in-person’ experience, which has been called the “best combination of a master class and a coaching session.” You can also have a peek at some additional reviews below... Jabbed? Masked? Eager? LET’S GO!!! I have created amazing routes for this bicycle ride that would be difficult to figure out on your own. Two to four hours is the expected experience duration based on your desire, abilities and enthusiasm. A one hour option can be made available upon request. Bring your own bicycle or hire one (small additional cost from $15 to a third party in person) at our meeting spot - the bike hire shop inside Bicentennial Park. *** During Sydney Lockdown (26 June 2021 - 18 October 2021 at least), restrictions can change by the day, so we can discuss how this impacts this tour ***

  • Harbour Kayak Adventure
Come enjoy a morning sea kayak adventure on Sydney's beautiful harbour. No engine noise or fumes, just the sound of your paddle in the water and the sea birds squawking above! We'll experience the built environs and get up close and personal with many of the harbour's natural wonders and marine inhabitants. We'll paddle to the center of the harbour where we'll get some photos of you framed by the Harbour Bridge (I'm a professional photographer in my other job so expect good pics - no charge of course!) We'll then land and explore Goat Island (Memel in the local Aboriginal Language) before paddling back via Darling Harbour. Goat Island is closed to the public and landing is by special permit only. Your permit is arranged for you and included as part of the tour. After we're finished your welcome to have a hot shower before treating yourself to a great lunch at the famous Sydney Fish Market a short walk away. There are also lot's of excellent lunch options minutes away on the famous Glebe Point Road or treat yourself to something really special at the Tramsheds. Our boatshed is easy to get to with plenty of free street parking nearby. We're the only kayak tour run by qualified kayakers that use REAL sea kayaks and top notch carbon fibre paddles.
