Summer has access to great hiking, and in the winter, access the World-class Snowmobiling. In Winter months the roads are packed snow, a 4x4 vehicle and driving experience in snow is required. No expense was spared in the design and build of this home. Exquisite craftsmanship & charming old west detail make this larger-than-life cabin the place to gather with friends & family after a day of exploring the mountains, enjoying the peace and quiet or recreating in the Flat Tops. Kitchen: Enjoy the chefs kitchen that fully stocked with all the tools and appliances needed to support a day or week of eating in. The custom detailing and sheer beauty makes the kitchen one of the focal points of the home. Living Area: The spacious living room features a stunning fireplace, epic views and space for your entire extended family to lounge. Bedrooms: All 3 bedrooms were uniquely designed with comfort and beauty in mind. You will enjoy exploring all of the bedrooms and adjacent bathrooms. Laundry: Brand new, quiet washer and dryer. Internet: Satellite so occasionally it is slow, however, this is a place you will want to unplug. About Those Views… The cabin looks right out into a aspen grove with views for over 100 miles. This is your opportunity to explore, pick flowers and get in touch with nature. With thousands of aspen trees surrounding you, you’ll feel nestled in and woo’d by the sound of the nearby stream you can walk to. Make sure look for the snow-covered tips of Baxter, Sugarloaf and Triangle mountain, and plan your climb up Turret Peak! The entire home and the surround 35 acre property. We're here for anything you need and any questions you have, as quickly as humanly possible.... just message us :) The property is bordered by White River National Forest and 6 miles from Sweetwater Lake with fishing and paddle boarding. Out the back door, you have untouched access to the Flattops, where you will find one of the few places on earth where you can be truly alone in nature. Just a mile away, join the Coburn and Harold trail heads: two moderate hikes with amazing views. Sitting at 9,200 ft, you will need a 4WD and Winter driving experience in the winter due to snow-packed roads. We are 40 mins from the closest grocery store. Make sure you get all your food and supplies prior to coming up. The closest market is city market in the Town of Eagle. Also from Oct-May you will want to have a AWD or 4WD vehicle. With the uncertainty of colorado weather in high coutry you want to be prepared for anything. We do keep all the roads plowed when needed. The location is ideal for getting off the grid and enjoying private trails for hiking, biking, xc ski and snowshoe. 4WD or AWD preferred travel in winter. The location is remote and beautiful. The Moose Haven is at about 9000 feet along the Park Range in the Rocky Mountains. The heat is furnished by a wood stove that does require stoking through cold nights. The composting bathroom is 20 feet away and the shower house a short walk. Water is supplied as the Moose Haven is a dry cabin.
