This detached cottage, in my backyard, is located in the heart of Zaandam, a 3-minute walk from Dam Square, 4 minutes from the cozy shopping street and 9 minutes from the Station. From the Zaans Huisje you can do all kinds of activities. For example, you can reach Amsterdam Central Station in 14 minutes by train and Zaanse Schans in 5 minutes. Please note that parking in front of the door is paid. The cottage is rented for 1 person and there is an extra bedroom available for an additional fee.

Our cozy B&B is centrally located in the head of North Holland. Because of this location we are very easy to reach both by car and by public transport. The cottage is completely private in a very large garden with its own sunny terrace. Make use of all facilities offered including digital TV & internet. Stay in a traditional Dutch Miller’s Cabin beside an authentic 1632 windmill, surrounded by canals and nature in the North Holland countryside. Hand built during the windmill’s restoration, the cabin offers a peaceful and unique stay while still being close to Alkmaar and only 40 minutes from Amsterdam by train. I am a traditional Dutch miller born and raised in Alkmaar, and my American wife, Kelly, and I enjoy sharing this special place with guests from around the world.
