Conveniently located 10-40 km from: Hoorn-Enkhuizen-Medemblik, Edam-Volendam-Marken. But certainly also Alkmaar, the Zaanse schans, Amsterdam and not to forget, the coast of N. Holland.

This is a rare opportunity to stay in a traditional Miller's House located on the same property as an authentic 1632 Dutch Windmill. This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. As the Miller of this windmill, I enjoy giving my guests a complimentary tour whenever possible.

In the 2700m2 backyard of our farmhouse, there are two detached tiny houses with a large private garden and private entrance with lots of privacy . Layout: Living room, kitchen equipped with combi oven, induction hob, refrigerator and Nespresso machine, bedroom with double box spring, bathroom with underfloor heating and rain shower, wood stove and sleeping loft.

It is located on continuous waterways with beautiful views and privacy. Papenveer is a cosy, spacious cottage with a modern kitchen and fully equipped bathroom and 2 bedrooms. Welcome to the lovely glamping house. This cozy cottage is ideal for families or friends who want to relax at the house after a day, sightseeing tourist attractions or a bike ride. The cottage is behind the Noordwijk dunes . It is an ideal place to relax. Distance to Leiden is 10 km, The Hague 30 km and Amsterdam 49 km The garden is not suitable for rugby/ soccer weekends, also use of marijuana is not allowed.

COTTAGE NEAR THE WATER

You will find the cottage on a little island called De Woude. It is a true paradise for birdwatchers, hikers and fishermen but if you want visit Alkmaar, Zaanse schans, Amsterdam ore you want to go to the beach you will be there in ca. 35 minutes by car. With a ferry you get to the island. The ferry goes back and forth all day until 23:00. Cars are allowed. their is a private parking place near the cottage.
