Quiet, sustainable apartment near Wandlitzsee

More than just a beautiful place This place is part of Remote Republic. The idea is simple: we rent out beautiful places – and use the income to enable social organisations to use places like these free of charge. Your booking here helps support our Schiffmühle location, where the boathouse and the grounds along the Alte Oder river are regularly open to social groups at no cost. In 2025, around 250 people gathered there for the summer festival of a children's and youth welfare organisation. Your booking is what makes this possible. Thanks for being part of it. This 61 m² garden apartment offers space to arrive and breathe. It sits quietly and close to nature in Wandlitz, about a 5-minute walk from Lake Wandlitz, with a separate entrance and its own terrace. Swimming spot just around the corner: only 300 m away is a free bathing spot on Lake Wandlitz — steps lead into the lake right in the woods, and dogs are allowed in the water too. The apartment is intentionally designed for a maximum of two adults – not a family setup, but a place for retreat, focused work, or relaxed days out in nature. We place particular value on sustainability: the apartment runs on climate-friendly heating, modern boiler/heat-pump technology, and a solar system – for a good feeling throughout your stay.

A house in the fields

The house is situated alone in a sea of fields, surrounded by the wind in a fantastic perennial garden. With the help of many artist colleagues and friends, this formerly unspectacular guesthouse from the 1990s was converted and renovated into a small oasis and a garden was created with the help of landscape designer Rainer Elstermann. In constant growth and change, an idyllic place was created - and is still being created - in which 10 people can be accommodated in the guest part.

The family-friendly holiday home with fireplace is quietly located on a 1200 sqm fully fenced plot on the edge of the forest, in the middle of the lake landscape Wandlitz. Berlin-Mitte is 25 km away. In 15 minutes you are at the train station and from there it is 40 minutes by train to Berlin-Mitte. Numerous restaurants and shopping leave nothing to be desired. Your dog is also welcome. Our cozy weekend property invites you to a wonderfully relaxing vacation. A private jetty with lake access as well as forest and meadow are right outside the front door. On a 1000 square meter property you can enjoy nature completely alone. Watch sunrises and sunsets in the pulpit on the jetty. Rowing boats can be rented nearby in season. Fishing is also possible on Lake Rahm with a fishing license.
