Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. Enjoy fresh eggs from our chickens and seasonal vegetables from our garden as available, and visit our cuddly mini-pigs! This getaway is a perfect home base for Virginia Tech games and events, nearby vineyards, breweries, the Appalachian Trail, or the New River.

Our house is really special & unique. We want you to come enjoy the space! HUGE Private one room off the back of the house. We share a wall and you will hear us. Room comes with living room area, tv, king size bed, large private master bath, ability to set temperature (within range). The Cabin is a luxurious rural escape, with a 3-person hot tub. Located on a permaculture homestead and native plant sanctuary, the space overlooks the garden and is surrounded by forest. Natural/local materials were used throughout (built in 2023). For larger groups, check out the guest house next door (Airbnb: Guest House on Homestead near Floyd/Blacksburg). ~10 miles to Floyd, ~20 miles to Blacksburg, ~35 miles to Roanoke.
