“You will not be let down with your stay with Chantal at the Yurt! My new bride and I truly loved our stay as it was the perfect remote and quiet place that we needed to start our mini-moon given all of the craziness with the pandemic. It far exceeded our expectations and had everything that we needed. We were able to spend a lot of time relaxing but were also able to do some fishing and get out for a great hike to humpback rock! A dip in the hot tub was also the perfect way to end each day. Chantal was a very welcoming and responsive to all of our questions and made us feel at home. We will certainly be back as this was by far our best all around BnB experience to date!”

“This was hands down the coolest place I've ever stayed. The attention to detail that Randy and Linda have applied to the property, house, fixtures, check in, and experience was astonishing. This is the ultimate couple's getaway. My fiancée and I ended up spending almost all of our time at the house and the property. We loved sitting out on the "Buckleberry Ferry" as evening set in and all of the decorative lighting came on around the hobbit hole, truly a magical spot. It rained one of the days were were there but this didn't take away from our experience, we simply sat under the covered porch, drank a bottle of wine, and listened to the soft rain falling onto the small pond in front of the house. Randy and Linda gave excellent recommendations for what to do in Lexington, we enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Southern Inn and loved walking around the small town. I highly recommend that you take the time to get a tour of Randy's workshop. He does some really amazing work and his demonstrations are fascinating to watch. I loved it so much I came back later that day and partook in a Hobbit pipe making workshop where he taught me to make a usable long stem pipe. Randy is a great teacher, he modeled each step of the build process and then let me work on mine. He was always there if I needed help but didn't hover over me or make me nervous about making a mistake. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor and ended up coming home with a beautiful and usable pipe that I MADE! Check in and check out were wonderful, Randy and Linda are both extremely friendly people who really make you feel at home and taken care of with many homey touches and unending kindness. To wrap up this long review and summarize everything I've said above: It is awesome, book your stay now!”
Welcome to Old Hill Cider House! Located just steps away from the first row of Summer Rambo Apple Trees at Showalter's Orchard. The thoughtful renovation was just completed in early July. The former wash house could be a base for all your Shenandoah Valley Travels or this light airy and romantic little house is a comfortable and cozy place for your farm vacation. The kitchen is small but has all the basics, one queen bed, one bath. We look forward to making your acquaintance.
“360 views of just stunning beauty. The cottage has the look and feel of something straight out of a magazine. You're close to gorgeous hikes, an adorable little town and just outside the door is a perfect spot to just sit back and take in the incomparable views of Shenandoah valley. Side note: I really didn't expect to fall in love with cider, but this cider is fantastic - the only kind I've tasted that isn't too sweet and has complexities like wine.”
