In the yard, there is an atmospheric hut with a campfire and about 600 sqm of dog fence. Fully equipped kitchen. No Wi-Fi. Air heat pump with cooling. Taikaloora cottage is an idyllic and cozy cottage on the shore of Lake Oulujärvi in Finland. It lies a short walk away from the ameneties of Vaala's town center. The cottage includes a small kitchen, bathroom, living room and an open bedroom. Just beside the cottage is an idyllic lakeside sauna with amazing view to the Lake Oulujärvi. NOTE: Cleaning fee of 90,- will be charged if the guests don't clean the cottage to the same condition it was while arriving.

Not a resort, not a hotel. Exactly what Finland actually looks like. A small off-grid cabin on Lake Oulujärvi running on solar power and firewood. No running water or indoor plumbing. You light the sauna, pump water from the lake, and cook on gas or an open fire at the laavu. Note: this stay requires basic outdoor skills. You must be comfortable making fires, bringing your own sheets and drinking water, and doing the final cleaning before checkout.
