This is far from the maddening crowd. Absolute tranquil atmosphere, with only the chirping of the birds and the quacking of the visiting ducks in the lake/farm dam.
It is a quiet neighbourhood. The Williams River and Caravan park is only a 5 minute drive for your boating and fishing experience. There is also a picnic area with electric BBQ. THERE IS AN IGA SUPERMARKET AND A PUB WHICH SERVES FOOD IN TOWN AND ALSO A BOWLING CLUB. DUNGOG IS A 12-15 MINUTE DRIVE. YOU CAN FISH IN THE RIVER .
  • A great place for a quick retreat from the hustle and bustle of the urban Sydney life. The cottage is located 2.5hrs north of Sydney, quietly tucked away in Clarence Town. It's surrounded by farmland and within reach of the local shops and the beach. The cottage is very modern and clean with all the necessary amenities - much like a serviced apartment. Maddy is an amazing host who is easy to talk to and very accommodating. He ensures the best possible stay for the guest. Highly recommended this place and would keep it in my list of getaway spots. 💯👌🏼

  • Madhab is a great host. His communication is great and the place is new and spotless. I loved the location and the peacefulness. I did not meet Madhab but he was kind enough to ensure that check in was easy and a lovely bottle of wine as well as tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were waiting. I was worried about having no reception but it was fine and I could hotspot my phone to the tv as well. A great little find.

  • A peaceful, clean and well equipped place to stay. Great value!

  • Madhab’s place is the most well equipped AirBnb I have ever stayed at. Tea, coffee, milk, biscuits ..... herbs, spices, olive oil, sugar ... and a bottle of champagne!!! My second stay here & will definitely be back!!

  • Maddys place is in a fantastic location. It is only 30 minutes into Nelson Bay. I highly recommend going out on Imagine Cruises dolphin watching or whale watching ( seasonal). It is also about a 45 min drive to the Hunter Valley and surrounding wineries. Hawks Nest/ Tea Gardens/ Jimmys Beach are also worth a trip if you have time 😎

  • Great house for friends or family getaway. Lots of room and lots of beds

    Sandra2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful stay with a group of friends and enjoyed a relaxing weekend at the house and around the property. We found plenty to do despite staying on an exceptionally wet weekend. River swimming in the rain was something special. The place was very well appointed, super comfortable, spacious and welcoming and communication was great.

  • We returned after a year off & it was just how we remembered it - excellent.

    Greg2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Simone was a lovely host, who provided all the little finishing touches that made it such a lovely trip. The extended Granny flat was finished to accommodate our large group and gives that extra space for large groups wanting a weekend away. There was even a power cut during our stay due to a storm and Simone was quick to respond and do what she could to help the situation. I would fully recommend for families or large groups looking for great accommodation on a lovely farm.

  • Simone & Glen’s place was fantastic. We stayed for 10nights for a friends 40th and had various families staying for a few nights here and there over our time. The house is perfectly laid out providing with various entertaining areas - loads of casual seating & large tables throughout as well as 3 tvs for a bit of down time. This meant even when there was over 3 families we all had our own space and there was still room for people to retreat for quiet time if they’d had enough. The beds were very comfortable -two of us have back problems and often find beds not so great. We were both very pleasantly surprised with the high quality and comfort of our beds! The kitchen was awesome. Honestly I love food and love to cook. It was so well decked out. Sharp knives, lots of chopping boards, two fridges, loads of plates, glasses & cutlery. We never ran out of anything! The dishwasher was a dream. Loads of nice serving dishes and platters. All the basics were in the pantry. Truely I’d come back for this kitchen alone! Pool was great & we were even treated to a visit from a koala which felt even more special at the moment. We did have a hiccup with the power. I contacted Glen and he was right on it, giving me updates along the way. He’d spoken to his electrician, his neighbour (to see if they too were effected) then organised someone from the power company to come and check the supply. A part had blown on the power company’s side. It was fixed in no time. We were really impressed how well it was handled and how quickly it was solved. I honestly can recommend Peppercorns enough. Simone & Glen were fabulous hosts and we felt very lucky that they have chosen to share their lovely home. We will definitely be back!

    Nicole2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is just an amazing place. It has everything that you need and Simone & Glen are incredibly helpful and responsive. The views are beautiful and the house is full of all the comforts you need when having a holiday. We stayed for two nights to celebrate our daughters first birthday but we will surely look to come back here in the future for a family getaway. The house is very clean and well designed for multiple families to stay. The pool was a lot of fun and the outdoor deck/patio is the perfect spot to gather with the family for meals and relaxing. We loved every minute of our stay and would gladly do this again and for longer next time!

    Amita2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful home, so much space and plenty of places to sleep. The pool was an amazing part of the weekend and we just adored the river and rope swing. Being able to look out over all the country side with grazing cows and occasionally some kangaroos, it was such a pleasant way to get away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney. Thanks again to our amazing host Simone who supplied great kitchen utensils, spreads and seasonings, not to mention the very much enjoyed box of favourites in the fridge hehe 😆

    Josh2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolute must for anyone who has ever thought about Tiny Houses. I have seen lots of shows about these type of Houses and Bronwyns Tiny house is better than them all. It has everything you could possible ask or and is decorated beautifully not to mention where it is. The views or rolling green and sounds of cows mooing completes the picture. This property is well worth staying in even if it is a bit out of your way.

    Matt2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you are wanting a peaceful mini getaway this is what you are looking for. A tiny house situated in a tiny slice of heaven. Immaculate and Clean with all amenities you could possibly need. Bronwyn was a incredibly thoughtful host and had a few special touches as it was our anniversary. Morning coffee watching ducks in the pond out front and then 5mins away from from some amazing food spots. If I could fault 1 thing it would be that we couldn't stay longer. This is a 5* little gem.

    Camille2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great introduction to the world of tiny houses! A real nice cosy feel and a pleasant stay overall. The place is well kept and clean, both inside and out. Bronwyn provided clear instructions on access and offered a helping hand, whilst also respecting privacy. Would recommend a stay here if you're in the area.

  • Beautiful stay! Great hosts that genuinely care about their guest!

    Liberty2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • From the first moment my partner and I entered the Tiny House, it felt like home. We highly recommend this place for a couple looking for an intimate weekend away from the city. The Tiny House was a beautiful quaint little place. The location is also amazing. Quiet but still close enough to places such as Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and Newcastle.

    César2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a place! We spent our anniversary at the Tiny Home. There was no place we would have rather stayed. The Tiny home was picturesque, charming and clean. Thank you to Bronwyn who was a fantastic host. This place is exceptional. If you're looking to stay in the Hunter, then look no further!

  • A beautiful place with all necessary amenities. Sue was a great host and her communication was top notch. Indulge in one of the many breakfast options available and make your way to the beaches at Port Stephens which is about 50 minutes away. We were unlucky not to get a look at the Gardens (dear Rain Gods, help!!!).. If you're considering a quiet place set amidst a calm neighbourhood with a lot of nature around you might wanna stop your search here.

    Arvind2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for 3 nights for my brother's wedding in Wallalong House, and this place is awesome. It is in a quiet secluded area, but feels very much like a home. Sue is very nice and a great host. The place was very clean, and has a good fan and air con which was handy. Sue was awesome too she made sure there was plenty of breakfast food available which was very thoughtful. She also had a great check-in and check-out process that was easy, and very good at communicating. I also like how she gave us a lot of space and privacy during our stay. Also Sue has two of the cutest old dogs ever! They are so loving. Thank you very much!

    Matthew2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this airbnb for my parents who were visiting and they had the most wonderful, peaceful and restful week. Sue laid out a beautiful breakfast spread for their week long stay and topped up the items throughout the week (like fresh juice and bread). The studio is very clean, comfortable and spacious. Mum and dad loved the sound of the birds and wildlife and being surrounded by the trees. Sue was a kind and caring host, and we look forward to booking Sue's place again for future stays. Thanks a million Sue!

  • What an amazing find! We needed somewhere to stay locally whilst out renovations were carried out, and luckily came across this beautiful 2 bedroom townhouse. The location could not be more perfect - it’s less than a minute to wonderful cafes, easy parking, and a great base to explore the area. We have 2 young kids and they were well catered for with a safe space and backyard, colouring books, pencils and crayons, and age-appropriate board games - which made the stay very stress free. Of note Katrina is fantastic to communicate with, and when I misplaced the key (first time at an air bnb!) she had someone deliver a new key before I’d even returned home. Nothing was too much trouble and the house was exactly as described - except better because there were gorgeous touches around. The pantry and fridge was stocked with essentials, there were high quality sheets and towels, beautiful smelling bathroom products and a laundry (very helpful if you have kids and need to wash almost daily). Overall a really positive experience and I will definitely be referring friends to stay here when they come to visit us nearby!

    Felicity2020-02-21T00:00:00Z

  • Beautiful accomodation in the centre of Morpeth. Walking distance to shops, bars and resturants. Stayed here for a wedding at Wallalong house - 6 minute drive to venue. The house was spotless and had everything: WiFi, Chomecast, rever cycle air con, undercover parking, tea, coffee, milk and bread. Katrina the host was incredible. Extremely detailed instuctions for entry into the house, local advice and suggestions, fast responses to messages and overall a very friendly host to deal with. Thank you for leaving the air con on for our arrival on such a hot day! Cannot give our experiance a high enough rating.

    Paddy2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Katrinas place in Morpeth was amazing. The place was so clean and had everything we needed. It is walking distance to the shops and restaurants. We will recommend it to family and friends in the future.

  • We had the most amazing beautiful time in ‘The Treehouse’. What a gorgeous secluded spot! This is an absolutely perfect place for a special couple of nights break! We loved the cabin. It has such a beautiful energy. A must come back for us! Thanks Heather!

  • My wife and I had a great couple of nights at Heathers place. We were left alone to relax for a couple of days and we loved it. Skippy was the cutest.

    Daniel2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Heather's, place was cosy, well stocked and had great touches that made it fantastic for a group of couples. Heather was amazingly quick to respond and had lengthy replies with excellent info and tips for the stay. If you are looking to fulfil your dream of staying in a treehouse that has luxury touches then look no further cause this place can't be beat. Heather thanks so much and I will certainly be coming back! Thanks for making our NYE and my personal childhood dream of staying in a treehouse. P.s. there is a wallaby (?Joey?) that lives on the land and comes by to get fed about three times a day, her name is skip and she is super friendly and even lets you pat her!!!! What an amazing experience.

    Isabella2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Heather is the most wonderful host. She went out of our way to help with things beyond her remit. Kids loved the setting

    Matthew2019-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Just amazing. Perfect escape for us as a family of four. Our 7 and 4 year olds loved exploring the forest plus feeding and patting the little kangaroo who is like a friendly pet. Marshmallows on the campfire each night plus the gorgeous baths with the beautiful view. Highly recommend!

Roscrea Homestead is set in a private and tranquil setting, on a working beef cattle property at Glen William on the banks of the picturesque Williams River.
Few of us are lucky enough to call this beautiful region home – most of us are probably urban, likely rushed, stressed, harried and tired. Sometimes we just need a place like this to recharge our batteries for a time.We will tell you upfront - when you’re at the property you just don’t want to leave.  Sure there’s lots of things you can do during your stay; you can enjoy fishing or picnicking on the river; visiting surrounding historic towns such as Dungog, Paterson or Morpeth; walking in the nearby World Heritage-listed Barrington Tops National Park; taking a BBQ lunch to Chichester Dam or exploring Australia’s famous Hunter Valley wine district. However – we want to be honest and tell you that there’s something so magical about being there that you won’t even want to go to the shops for food!Originally built as a getaway for RM Williams Chief Executive Group – it is now available to anyone needing to dip their toe into a place that soothes the soul. Perfect for families and friends to stay for holidays or just the weekend, as all rooms have a private bathroom, which is essential for communal stays. Importantly – there is plenty to keep the kids entertained (and you in peace!). There is a swimming pool, a cubby house, a media/playroom – and not least wide-open spaces, fresh country air and nature. If peace and solitude is what you are seeking – well we have that in spades. The energy of the place is such that you will immediately and arrestingly feel healed, and nurtured. Our beautiful homestead is everything your mind runs to when you think about a country escape. Fully renovated, the property can sleep up to 12 guests with all bedrooms opening onto the generous wrap-around verandah. The main homestead sleeps 8, featuring 4 large bedrooms (3 queen and 1 twin) each with their own bathroom. Along the verandah there are 2 lovely extra queen bedrooms with en suites to accommodate a further 4 guests, which are available at an additional cost of $95 per person per night. Daily room servicing is also available at an additional cost. The home is luxuriously yet comfortably furnished and features a separate rumpus/TV room, laundry and large return verandahs with expansive rural views. The large country-style gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with all the mod cons you expect – new appliances, including huge fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher and Smeg cooktop and oven. The superb lounge / dining area is complete with comfortable lounge and armchairs, a large dining table and combustion fire. Roscrea Homestead is located about 5km from the village of Clarence Town and 25km from Dungog. It is approximately 2 hours from Sydney, 45 minutes from Newcastle and the Hunter Valley vineyards.Limousine, coach, or helicopter transport from Newcastle airport, to and from the Hunter Valley vineyards and concerts can be arranged. Please discuss your requirements at time of booking. Added Bonus: Every reservation at Roscrea will be afforded a 5pm late check out free of charge (subject to availability in terms of same-day incoming bookings). That's right! As long as we are not booked for an arrival on your departure day, your group can enjoy this beautiful space up until 5pm on the day of your departure. Miss the traffic heading home and really make the most of your stay.

  • Beautiful property that's clearly been a home for several years and not set up as a holiday rental. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped, the outdoor entertaining area is genius and the scenery is breathtaking. This is a wonderful place for families or groups of friends to stay together and enjoy each others company in an amazing setting.

Everything was as pictured and we were pleased to find a loaf of bread, eggs, milk, snacks, tea and coffee supplied. Debbi was helpful in sharing with us the best places for dinner and had a full list of restaurants and activities waiting for us on arrival. Check in and check out was a total no fuss process. • Carawirry has to be one of the most amazing Airbnb's i've stayed in. Set in a very quiet and private location with endless forests and waterways to explore it was a perfect opportunity to switch off and forget the real world for a while. Little touches like hand drawn maps with advice on what walks to take totally made the trip worthwhile and anyone who is second guessing booking at Carawirry stop thinking about it and lock it in while you can. Hearing the creek run in the background with an abundance of wildlife when you wake up of a morning and lighting a fire in your room is a real treat. Thanks so much for having us, wish we had been able to stay longer!

  • The Gum Leaf Cabin was a perfect place to give my partner a birthday to remember. We couldn’t believe how tame “Skip” the Wallaroo was. We stayed 2 nights and had 2 visits from her. The interior design is beautifully done and the amenities were accurate to the lovely pictures. Heather was also a pleasure to speak with. Thank you so much!

    Charlie2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant amneties, value and a perfect location right in the middle of a wildlife reserve. Expect visits from kangaroos, possums and other friendly natives. The outdoor bath is the perfect touch!

  • This place is unbelievable. Such a luxurious bush cabin getaway. Heather has thought of everything you could possibly need to have a perfect break from the city. It’s so quiet and the cabin is cozy warm with the fire going and there are special little touches everywhere to make your stay truly seamless.... from tea, coffee, bath salts, candles and a very well equipped kitchen and big bbq. You name it, it’s there. (Including a very friendly wallaby!) Take my word and bring a heap of food, turn off your phone and book more time than you think!! You absolutely will not want to leave. Best mini break I’ve ever had.

    Rhiane2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this Airbnb experience was perfect - communication, value, cleanliness, amenities... from the cosy fire already burning, high quality appliances, bedding and fittings, magical location and spotless cabin - to the thoughtful touches like pre-dried kindling for the fire, coffee pods, torches, maps for bushwalking etc. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return! Thanks Heather.

  • A very special place to stay! The forest is beautiful, quiet and full of wonderful flora and fauna. The cabin sits sympathetically within it but really gives luxurious retreat too! The rain showers are a real treat. The cherry on the top are the wild yet friendly kookaburras and wallaroo you get to feed and interact with. Cannot recommend staying more!

  • We had a lovely one night stay at Susan’s cute but spacious cottage in the historic town of Paterson. Susan & her little dog Affro were very friendly & easy to get along with. The welcoming refreshments were much appreciated & the breakfast selection was excellent. The bed & pillows in the guest bedroom were very comfortable, the guest bathroom & shower were fantastic & the guest sitting area which was part of a much larger common living area was very private. It was exceptionally hot the night we stayed so the ceiling fan in the bedroom & the reverse cycle air conditioning in the sitting area were very welcome. We had an excellent dinner at the local pub which is an easy walk from Susan’s place & enjoyed walking around the town & along the nearby Paterson River. We had business to do near historic Morpeth which was an easy drive away. We would be happy to stay at Susan’s again & for longer. Next time we might bring our kayaks for a paddle in the river or catch the train from the nearby Paterson train station to Newcastle for the day. Thankyou Susan for a relaxed & enjoyable stay.

My place is a modern, spacious two storey home with vistas over the hinterland. You can enjoy sunshine on the north facing back verandah after a swim in the pool or sit in the shade of the awning while nursing an ice cold beer. This house was meant to be our perfect family home, but after separation it is now too big for only me. I'm working in hospitality and customer service and don't like to see this lovely space go to waste, so I thought I would open my home for others to enjoy it as I do.
CORONAVIRUS INFO: Anja's Place proactive in keeping you healthy! All our linen is sanitised at 90 degrees (kills all microorganism) and all rooms are getting disinfected after each stay. Disinfectant is available for all common areas to be used before and after use. The house has multiple living areas, there is a lounge area on the upstairs landing with TV, downstairs is another lounge area where you can retreat and read a book. We have an open plan kitchen and dining area with a spacious outdoor verandah and plenty of seating. Your room is upstairs - one queen room - and you are sharing the family bathroom with two other rooms that get rented out as well. Please be aware that this is a share house. I have my private quarters downstairs, however will not be at the house all that much. There is a housekeeper living close by if you need anything (extra charges may apply).
Coming home from your day trip you will find everything close by - the Rutherford shopping centre is 2 mins drive away (you could even walk if you like), the famous Bradford Hotel is just down the road, fast food restaurants and a liquor shop just opposite the pub and up the hill is the Maitland City Club with family friendly spaces. The city of Maitland with its iconic shopping mall and quirky alley ways are just a 5 minute drive and it is only twenty minutes to the first Hunter Valley wineries. You may even choose to drive half an hour into re-developed Newcastle with its historic buildings and stunning beaches.

Thank you Fiona for the breakfast and the use of the pool, it was very refreshing in summer! We hope to go back again to do more star gazing and having a relaxing drink on the verandah. We also hope you get rain very soon. Cheers, Dion & Tony.

The ideal romantic getaway... Set in the Sugarloaf valley, just outside of Dungog NSW, "The Shed" is the perfect place to unwind and soak in the spectacular views of the rolling hills. Cosy up and enjoy a glass of wine by the fire or have a delicious BBQ on your private deck. "The Shed" on Sugarloaf is a self-contained, quiet retreat in the hills. We are located only 10 minutes from historical Dungog and 35 minutes from the southern end of the beautiful Barrington Tops National Park.
"The Shed" on Sugarloaf offers a unique accommodation experience, a converted shed with all the modern conveniences you could ask for including a slow combustion wood fireplace, reverse cycle air conditioning and a complimentary bottle of wine for you to enjoy on arrival. "The Shed' is a bright and airy space with a comfortable queen bed and quality linen throughout. The kitchen and lounge room are spacious and modern and both offer beautiful countryside views from the windows. The private deck also offers magnificent valley views. The grazing cattle and visiting ducks swimming in the dam complete the vista. Please note: The last 2 km of Sugarloaf Road to "The Shed" is unsealed road and while maintained by council and easily passable by 2WD vehicles, care should be taken especially in wet weather and at night. Because of the beautiful rolling hills, phone reception at The Shed can be unreliable. Nothing a short drive down the road or into town can’t fix though! We have also chosen not to provide wifi at The Shed as we really want it to be a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of busy life!
"The Shed" is located only 10 minutes from the historical town of Dungog which offers some beautiful cafes, Dungog Barrington Bakery and The Tinshed Brewery. Explore the local growers stall and markets on weekends and browse through the lovely giftware and antique shops along the main street. We are only 35 minutes from stunning Barrington Tops National Park and the beautiful towns of Stroud, Gresford, Paterson and Vacy. There are some little wineries scattered around the local area for you to explore while the heart of the famous Hunter Valley wine region is only just over an hour away.
  • The perfect weekend getaway couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

    Stephanie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely escape from the buzz of everyday life. High quality linens, towels and kitchen wear, so nice!! Not to mention SUPER clean - highly recommend visiting ‘the shed’ on sugarloaf!

  • What a wonderful place for a visit to Dungog. Coming for the Festival & Sculptures on the Farm Casey & Michael made everything easy & the beautiful Sugarloaf Shed is so clean & new. The bed was very comfortable too & the folder with instructions on local walks, places to eat etc. was the best we’ve found. Thanks C & M we loved our time at the Shed

    Elisabeth2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! Perfect place to relax. Would recommend. Great hosts. Clean. Well stocked kitchen. Lovely view. Reduced phone reception- this didn’t bother us at all (great to disconnect with the outside world). Small section of dirt road- easy to drive on, no issues. Great fireplace. Will definitely return! Thanks for a relaxing weekend!

    Sophie2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Shed on Sugarloaf was a fantastic place to stay! Just far enough away from Dungog to create a real sense of isolation, but close enough to pop in for a look around. The shed itself was clean, well appointed and private, great for a weekend away.

    Nathan2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful house with an amazing view! Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

    Kayla2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had! The photos (while stunning) don’t even do it justice. The “shed” is a beautifully designed space with views that will take your breath away. The perfect getaway if you’re looking to unwind, switch off and enjoy nature. We arrived to a lovely welcome sign and bottle of wine along with a ready to go log fire...What more could you ask for?! It was incredible waking up to the rolling hills and birds chirping. The local town, Dungog, has so much character and lots of lovely gems. We had a delicious brekkie at the bistro and loved picking out veggies from the local growers stall - another great thing about the shed is that it has a BBQ - we were so pleased to have dinner there just because it meant we could spend more time there, relaxing in front of the views! Meanwhile there are heaps of great walks to do, we drove to Barrington Tops and had a great day exploring the national park. You will definitely NOT regret booking this place, we are already trying to work out when we can go back!

    Stephanie2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Shed is absolutely beautiful! So modern and stylish and much bigger than the pictures show, it’s a really beautiful place to stay. The location is amazing, the perfect city escape. We had the best weekend and would definitely go back again!

Raymond Terrace is a town in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia, about 26 km (16 mi) by road north of Newcastle on the Pacific Highway. Established in 1837 it is situated at the confluence of the Hunter and Williams rivers. The town was named after Lieutenant Raymond, who had explored the Hunter River in 1797 and described the terraced appearance of trees in the area. Governor Lachlan Macquarie camped in the area in 1818, using "Raymond Terrace" as the name for the place where his party had camped. At the 2016 census Raymond Terrace had a population of 12,820. It is the administrative centre of the Port Stephens local government area as well as a service hub for surrounding rural areas. Raymond Terrace is situated to the east of the Hunter and Williams rivers and consists of three distinct regions.[ The north and south regions are primarily rural/semi-rural and occupy approximately 74% of the town's land with only 3% of the population living in these areas. Most of the population lives in the town itself. The centre of the town, where the shopping district is located, is adjacent to the Hunter River, just south of the confluence of the two rivers. Access to the northern sides of the rivers is via the Fitzgerald bridge which crosses the Williams River immediately adjacent to and upstream of the confluence. In 1998 the Raymond Terrace bypass on the Pacific Highway was opened, diverting traffic away from the town centre. Most of the town now lies to the north-west of the bypass between the Hunter and Williams rivers. However, the suburb of Lakeside lies to the east of the bypass, between the bypass and the wall of Grahamstown Dam.

The unit has everything you could need and they even provided me with some snacks, which was a great touch! Highly recommend and I will definitely stay again if I am passing by and in need of a comfy place to stay.

    Toni-Ann2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Christine and George made us feel welcome in their beautiful home as soon as we entered. We chatted for a good half hour before heading to our room. The house is immaculate and spotless. The gardens and exotic birds are amazing. The bonus was the baby Koala in a tree across the quiet road.

    Brendan2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Christine and George are the perfect hosts. They have created a beautiful, relaxing and stylish place in which to relax and unwind. Breakfast was excellent. We only stayed the night but will be planning a visit back to Port Stephens soon as we loved it! I would highly recommend Christine’s home. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning afternoon great sleep. We will be back!

    Hannah2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Christine's house is amazing and a special highlight is the breakfast. Two more points that is important to mention are the privacy that you have in the house and some Koalas that you can see just in front of the house.

  • Accommodation is of a very high standard , comfortable, homely even so in no way “sterile”. Everything needed for a pleasant stay is there in a most attractive setting. The interior has a slightly funky nature which adds to the character in a positive way. Communication with the host is fuss free, Linda responds quickly and from responses in the guest book this is quite the norm. Overall staying here was a restful and enjoyable experience and one we would thoroughly recommend to others.

    David2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
