“Jukka was a great host and able to use translation tool on his phone if needed in communication. The spot was very clean and well stocked kitchen. He was able to have the sauna ready for our use both nights when we asked ahead of time, and the sauna was a really great one! We would love to stay again sometime.”
Vacation rental on the top of Iso-Syöte. The View is sized 38m2 + 14m2 loft and 6m2 childrens play area. Best suitable for couples or 2+2. Two ski passes to Iso-Syöte resort, final cleaning and made linens for two are included! The View has been entirely renovated January 2017. It is a true ski-in/ski-out apartment since you can hit the slopes directly from the courtyard. There's a place to park your car in front of the apartment with heating possibilities. Amazing view over the Syöte valley!
“Nice apartment next to the blue slope and the trick parks with a carport and ski storage. Slightly small apartment for four people (due to equipment), but did well. The oven and microwave manuals can be found on theview and were easy to use after reading the manual. The lack of a washing machine was a bit distressing, but this was known at the time of booking. The apartment had a large flat screen TV and a family size divan sofa. The drying cabinet was a good addition. The apartment included two lift passes and two with bed linen and final cleaning. I paid 1600 € weekly on week 9 without looking anywhere else than airbnb. If you chop the price, adult lift tickets 178 € x2 and bed linen for two 40 € Includes: sheets, duvet cover, pillow case, face towel, body towel. Final cleaning assuming it is 80-100 €. The price for this stay was around 1104 € / 7 days. These are, therefore, privately owned shares, which are rented where they wish. Families stayed in the same house with 1 family from Vaasa and 2 families from Seinäjoki. Prices varied slightly between 4 families. Family 1: € 700 included one lift ticket (apartment of the same size) for 3 persons. Family 2: € 860 included final cleaning (bigger apartment with 2 bedrooms) for 4 persons. Family 3: 1200 € included final cleaning (bigger apartment with 2 bedrooms) for 8 persons. Family 4: € 1,600. included lift tickets x 2, bed linen x 2 and final cleaning. Although our accommodation was at its most expensive end, our vacation was completely successful and fully lived up to expectations. With the power of two lift passes, it took almost a whole week to skate, and just one day, the whole family took the tickets at the same time ... this was a huge saving. Please note that this apartment has a strict cancellation policy! But if you want the options, then I recommend you check out the online cottage, feed from Central Booking, booking.com, marketplace, findit and of course Airbnb.”
Ranua is located about 80 km from Rovaniemi where Santa Claus's village is. My house is about 4.5 km. from Ranua Zoo and about 1 km. from the center. If you are planning to visit the polar bears or waiting for the Northern Lights here is the right place to stay. If you prefer only to visit the Santa Claus Village I recommend you to search the accommodation in Rovaniemi for your convenience. Ps. Please check the bus timetable from Rovaniemi to Ranua at www.matkahuoto.fi
“Sara is a wondeful host. She's hospitable and accommodating even from the online communications. When I was there she went the extra mile to attend to my requests. Despite she may be tired from her afternoon to evening shift, she still has the enthusiasm to get to know you and orient you about the place. I enjoyed staying at her place in Ranua. I felt at home, the personal touches she has in her house makes you feel always welcome the moment you come in. Her place is quite neat and cozy too. :) Thank you Sara.”
