It is a 1.7 km walk from the University of Oldenburg, 2.5 km from downtown and 3.1 km from the train station/ZOB. The bed is extendable to 1.60. A bus stop is 2 minutes from the house (bus goes directly to the train station or the University of Oldenburg). A very sweet cat also lives in the main house.

The Donnerschwee farm, first mentioned in 1937 and later built, is located in the northeast of the city of Oldenburg and was the first settlement house on the square. The Donnerschwee district emerged from an old farming village, which presumably existed since the 9th century.
