Gioviano is a small quiet medieval village 25 kms from the walled city of Lucca in the Garfagnana. The house is peacful and in the heart of this beautiful Tuscan village, if you want to explore the region this is a perfect retreat for a weekend or longer. We are 50 minutes from Pisa airport on the SS12 route. The location is perfect for summer or winter. In summer you can reach the sea, in winter ski in the hills. All year round you can explore the region by foot, bicycle, motorcycle or car.

The Gegia Matta

In the green of Tuscany La Gegia Matta is the guest house of Villa Ruschi, a magnificent eighteenth-century property characterised by the typical Tuscan style. It is located in the centre of Calci, in Val Graziosa and is easily accessible by car or motorcycle. Nearby you will find restaurants, wine bars, groceries and you can also visit the beautiful Certosa di Calci. La casa si trova nel centro del paese, il parcheggio si trova distante circa 60 m. Presenza di strutture ricettive. La casa è un ottimo punto di appoggio per visitare anche i paesi vicini come Barga e Coreglia, tutti e due tra i borghi più belli d'Italia.
