This is a rare opportunity to stay in a traditional Miller's House located on the same property as an authentic 1632 Dutch Windmill. This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. As the Miller of this windmill, I enjoy giving my guests a complimentary tour whenever possible.

It is a quiet spot behind the dunes in the village of Wijk aan Zee, on walking distance (10 min.) from the widest beach of Holland. The apartment has all facilities and there is also a nice terrace with a wide view over the village. Het ligt op recreatiepark De Meerparel in de jachthaven van Uitgeest met mogelijkheden om te zeilen, surfen, vissen en zwemmen. De snelweg A9 is goed bereikbaar dus u bent zo in Alkmaar, Amsterdam, Haarlem of op Schiphol. Ook het strand van Castricum is binnen 15 minuten te bereiken.

As if that's not all, many people come especially for the ideal location in relation to the beach, forest and dunes.

It’s a stone throw away from the vibrant Cheesemarket and the bay window will provide you of an amazing view towards the medieval canals and the ‘Waag’ building, a national historic monument that’s located on Waagplein. Where you will also find the best local bars and restaurants. It’s close to several boutiques, restaurants and cafes can be found in the immediate vicinity.

This unique accommodation has an entirely private style. It is an old beach cottage that has become a beautiful contemporary cottage, with a fantastic view over the meadows. From your bed you look through the French doors to the meadows and you can enjoy the morning sun. At the front, you can see the "Stelling van Amsterdam" and over the meadows. From the terrace you can enjoy the sunset. Really a beautiful place.

Het Span is wonderful! You look over the fields to the dunes and the mill. You have a private parking space and a private garden. We have done everything possible to keep the sunset view as much as possible. The apartment can accommodate four people, and we like it if you come with children. They will love sleeping in the bed and playing in the playhouse.
