'The Cwtch' at Dan y Coed is set in a small village 3 miles from Crickhowell and 3 miles from Abergavenny. This is a 200 year old cottage which is set in a quiet country lane surrounded by greenery in the heart of the Brecon Beacons national parks. The Cwtch is a separate and private part of the house, it does however share the main entrance and the stairs. It's semi self catering with fridge, microwave and toaster only. Comprising of two double bedrooms, living space and private shower room
“You will get a warm welcome From Barbara. The accommodation shares a front door and stairway, but elsewise is self contained, and Barbara is happy to let you decide how much contact, if any, there is. There is a fridge/freezer, kettle and microwave which we found perfect for our needs. There are local pubs that serve food, more choice is available at either Abergavenny or Crickhowel. The canal that goes through Gilwern provides a relatively flat walking surface and way to enjoy the countryside as an alternative to climbing the many local steep hills.”
The Studio is a quiet and cosy detached retreat on an exclusive development yet it is situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of Crickhowell with its tourist office and many interesting shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. The Studio was newly let in late 2017 with fresh decoration, kitchen, fixtures, fittings and carpets. All continuously refreshed and updated to keep things fresh. The mezzanine bedroom has a comfortable King sized bed.
“The Studio is perfect for a couple visiting Crickhowell. It’s exactly as described and pictured - cosy, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The Studio is only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Crickhowell - ideal for pubs, cafes and country walks.”

“Les' communication beforehand was great and meant that access & check in were easy. Some nice touches with breakfast options being included, as well as drinks and snacks left in our room. Plus information on local shops, places to eat, etc. Les also lets guest access washing machine facilities. For Di & me Les' place was ideally placed to access an event at Parc Bryn Bach and we'd definitely look to stay there again id we were heading to that area. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to go to stuff in that area. As a host Les will make you welcome and make sure you are comfortable.”
