Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

Come and discover the Ardèche! This peaceful accommodation offers a relaxing stay for the whole family. For 4 people, located in a pretty village with character 30 minutes from Vallon Pont d'Arc. Small outbuilding adjoining our house, the entrance is independent with a gate and small secure parking.
