Linen / towels! Heiligenhaus is situated between Düsseldorf and Essen on the edge of the Ruhr area. By car you can reach Dusseldorf in 20 minutes. In 2011 by the newly created panorama cycle Heiligenhaus is connected to the hiking and cycling trails in the Ruhr into the Bergisches Land. Also for mechanics or fairgoers suitable.

The quiet location right by the conservation area does not exclude a very good transport connection. We offer a beautiful apartment on the edge of the forest near the Neandersteig and the Radpanoramaweg in Heiligenhaus. The apartment is completely newly renovated. The highlight of the 60 sqm apartment is the 40 sqm roof terrace, where you can enjoy the sun all day. The apartment is located on the second floor of a two-family house. 11 steps lead to the house entrance. The surrounding cities of Düsseldorf, Essen and Wuppertal can be reached by car in approx. 30 minutes.

Our bright, cozy and inexpensive non-smoking apartment awaits you in the former Stiftamtmannshaus in sight of the Saure restaurant, the old grain distillery and the music school. In the immediate vicinity is a small grocery store, the elementary school Am Strückerberg, the Church of the Redeemer, a savings bank and about 300 m away the attractive Gevelsberg city center with retail, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets... The Jakobsweg leads directly past our house.

You can rent the apartment in our detached house for yourself. This is where we connected a new router. Now there is the latest WLan technology WIFI 6. The 50sqm with a south-facing balcony are equipped with a mobile air conditioning. The house is situated in a quiet dead end street. A separate bedroom with a box spring bed (1.40X2m) and walk-in wardrobe. In the bathroom you will find a nice walk-in shower and a washing machine. The kitchen is fully equipped.

Quiet guest room - private entrance, private bathroom

We rent our small guest room (... it is ONE room, even if airbnb lists the living room and bedroom separately in the pictures) with its own bathroom and entrance. The room has a bed 80x200 cm, which can be quickly widened to 160x200 cm. The room is "only" about 13 sqm (plus bathroom), but otherwise everything you need for a short stay: a wardrobe, 2 chairs, a table, fridge, the possibility to make coffee and tea... cups, plates, cutlery ...

Apartment in the countryside near the city

In our house in a small cul-de-sac (in this respect the address "Hauptstrasse" is misleading) we rent a closed 2-room apartment (sleeping/living area) on the ground floor with a small kitchen and bathroom. The location is ideal for tourists, business people and trade fair visitors. Since 01/08/2025, the city of Essen has been levying an accommodation tax of 5% and a maximum of €9 per night. This is included in the nightly rate.
