Description Bed and breakfast In a Glasshouse is located in Oostwoud, in the heart of Westfriesland. It is a cottage-style home located behind our glass studio, in the deep waterfront garden. It can be rented as a B&B but also as a vacation home for a longer period. Among other things, there is a Grand Cafe De Post around the corner where you can eat delicious food and a pizza eater Giovanni Midwoud that also delivered. There is a motorboat available for a fee. The holiday home is located on Park Elzenhoeve. All facilities are located on the ground floor. A spacious seating area overlooks the West Frisian dike, a cooking island, and a spacious bathroom with a free-standing bath and separate shower. A garden with terrace is provided. The sea is within cycling distance where the quietest beaches in the Netherlands are located.

It is a 300-meter walk from the public swimming pool and supermarket and is fully furnished and equipped with every comfort. Our location gives you all the possibilities to explore the area and is very centrally located for fun trips to the beach, the dunes, the IJsselmeer or cities such as Schagen, Alkmaar, Haarlem and Amsterdam. Smoking is not allowed inside.

An excellent base for a lovely walk or bike ride, for example through the flowering bulb fields or to the beach. The city of Schagen with many restaurants in its historic center and train station with intercity to, for example, Amsterdam is close by.

The village of Schagerbrug is located in the Kop van Noord-Holland, in the municipality of Schagen. Around the village you will find an open polder landscape in which you can enjoy excellent hiking and biking. Not far west of Schagerbrug lies a beautiful dune area, the Zwanenwater, in which you can relax. A beautiful beach walk is of course also possible! A visit to Den Helder or Alkmaar is also one of the options.

Unfortunately, our apartment is not suitable for children, due to the ditch on the property. It is also possible to rent electric bicycles!
