The Saddlery Cottage

Beautiful converted cottage in the grounds of an historic Victorian country house in rural Wales. Wood-burning stove, Wi-Fi, stunning views of the Black Mountains. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, garden-lovers, or horse-riders of all ages. Just 450 yards on a private drive through the estate from a barn which sleeps 8 (see 'Eco-Barn in the Brecon Beacons'). Ideal also for larger gatherings. Dogs welcome; a maximum of two permitted. The cottage is located on a 19th century country house estate of about 10 acres of gardens, lawns and woods. There are three bedrooms - a double ensuite on the ground floor, and two upstairs bedrooms (two doubles, one can be made up as twin beds) that share a large bathroom. A double-height kitchen and an open plan living/dining area with a banquette, a woodburning stove, two large comfy sofas and fabulous views. One side of the cottage looks onto a cobbled stable yard, and the other onto its own garden, then beyond that parkland, Llangorse Lake and the Black Mountains. Fabulous restaurants and farm shops are within a short drive as well as the lake, with boating facilities, beautiful walks out of your front door, and great biking trails. An all-around perfect location for a peaceful holiday in rural Wales. The cottage has its own entrance and parking, also its own garden with a table and chairs. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds of Treberfydd House, and are free to bring up to two pets. My husband and I and our family live a couple of minutes' walk from the Saddlery, and are available to help with any questions guests may have. Completely rural idyll - Perfect for those who want to escape the city and drink in the joys of the countryside. You would need a car to get around. Wellies are recommended, and good walking gear advisable for the hills. Booking is normally for a minimum of three nights. Between November and and March we offer a special rate for a Friday + Saturday booking with a late checkout of 4.30pm on Sunday. Please contact us for details. Our grade 2 listed roadside cottage is in the heart of historical Ludlow. Cosy and characterful with 2 bedrooms, Lounge, wood burner and fully equipped kitchen/diner. Spacious luxury shower. Close to the market square, Ludlow Castle, the river teme with excellent free trout, grayling fishing and excellent eateries. Fantastic walking around ludlow and a short drive away from the spectacular long mynd. Ludlow hosts many festivals throughout the year including the food, beer and fringe.

Our eco house is a relaxed and comfortable place to stay in the beautiful & unspoilt Welsh Borders. We have a large garden growing most of our fruit & vegetables, our own chickens and provide free cider while stocks last. Please understand that we are a traditional bed and breakfast establishment. I know that the listing states that a whole flat or house is available, it is not. Unfortunately AirB&B insist that we put this otherwise it on will only list one bedroom.

You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the peacefulness of been able to have the freedom to walk and explore our hills of mid wales, straight from your door..and only 45 mins to visit the seaside of Aberystwth.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
