Take it easy at this unique, restful place to stay. You sleep in a great place, away from the inhabited world and on the water. You can enjoy the vast landscape and the tranquility with a beautiful sunset. Experience it for yourself and enjoy the tranquility! From the terrace you can immediately get on the water in one of our canoe's and in the morning there are fresh eggs. We are happy to be able to host guests again after a significant period of renovation. We now live in the back of the yard ourselves.

Spacious and comfortable cottage near Amsterdam

Het Soomerhuys is in the center of it all! As the train station is just 1 minute away you will be at Amsterdam Station and Haarlem station within 10 minutes and at the beach within 20 minutes. The cottage is a spacious detached house with three large bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious and light living room overlooking a beautifully landscaped garden. Inn on the Lake is an all season sensation. In summer the gardens are lush with private terraces and full of seasonal flowers. Our beautiful boat is ready to take our guests on a nature trip through the lakes and surroundings. In winter the 17th century Vicarage and the lake glitter with ice and skating is in front of our doorstep. Our private Spa/Sauna & Massage treatments is open for our guests only. In the most beautiful part of Giethoorn, outside the busy tourist area, this unique holiday home is surrounded by nature. With unobstructed views over the water. The cottage has 2 bedrooms (1x 2 person and 2x single bed). There is another 5th bed (1 pers.) on the hall upstairs. Please let us know if you would like to use a sheet package (bedding & towels). It has a nice kitchen unit, a sitting area with a nice sofa, TV with WiFi, a dining area, 1 bedroom with a double box spring and a nice bathroom. The bed is made up upon arrival. Outside, we have created a nice sunny space for you, which you can use to your heart's content. Peace, and from the street you have a view of the beautiful dunes of Greetings.
