The skiing and hiking areas in the Thuringian Forest (Oberhof with international competition venues and Schmiedefeld) are easily accessible by car in 20-30 minutes as well as by public transport.

It is only 15 km to the well-known winter sports center Oberhof am Rennsteig, year-round cross-country skiing in Skisport Halle Oberhof, tobogganing, bike park, golf climbing park, wellness in the H2O Therme, sea aquarium in Zella-Mehlis.

Elderflower House

Our house is located in Rüdenschwinden in one of the most beautiful low mountain ranges in Germany. Rüdenschwinden is a small, charming village not far from the Schwarzes Moor and Fladungen. The vacation home is detached and surrounded by a 600 square meter, fully fenced garden. Here everyone will find a place to relax, play or linger. Dogs are also welcome. The property has a car parking space. From the two balconies you can enjoy a scenic view.

A separate entrance and a private terrace allow you to forget everyday life in peace. The child-friendly apartment was completely renovated and newly furnished in 2022. It can accommodate 4 people and a toddler. The apartment is quietly located on the outskirts of Schmalkalden. It is the starting point for hiking and cycling tours or for exploring the old town. For nice evenings in our large garden, we will be happy to provide you with a grill or enjoy the time in our beautiful conservatory.
