Stay in a charming renovated dairy on Flagrock farm. Set apart from the main house complex you will enjoy a peaceful environment with soft decor, air conditioning, rustic simplicity throughout and wonderful views. 7 kms from Boonah township which has its own local charm. You'll have access to national parks and hiking trails. Flagrock farm has a meadering creek with small gorge which offers undercover BBQ and open fire place facilities for you to enjoy. Flagrock has sheep and a sheep dog.
At this time we have limited mobile reception with telstra being the better option. If needed you can come up to the house to get better reception. The dairy at this time comes without WIFI or TV facilities. Along the creekline there are opportunities for bird watching. Tea and coffee facilities will be provided and a light continental breakfast is provided.
Boonah offers over 7 coffee shops. Try the story tree or hummingbirds for a great coffee. Mt Alford also offers a boutique brewery and coffee shop as well. If you are into hiking, the scenic rim offers wonderful mountain hikes, eg Mt Maroon, Mt edwards, Mt Mitchell and many others.
  • A wonderful location for a break or any function at Karoomba Lavender Farm.

  • 10/10!! Really loved our stay with Trina. It was a world away from the tourist filled coast. Trina was so generous with her time, offering loads of useful tips on places to visit. The accommodation itself was even better than we had expected and had loads of novel personal touches. Highly highly recommend!

  • Absolutely loved our stay here, we used the time as a gadget/internet detox and really enjoyed it! Thoughtful touches including tea coffee and a light breakfast, incredibly comfortable arrangements and what a view! Can’t recommend highly enough

  • An absolute delight! Such a gorgeous space with everything you need including friendly chickens, air con and just a short stroll to the creek, complete with turtles!

  • A great host, Trina is an excellent communicator. The Dairy is more beautiful than even the photos can do justice. If you want to stay somewhere where you can connect with country life this is for you. The bbq area and creek are wonderful, be brave and go for a swim on a hot day.

    Donna2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place to relax and we felt very welcome. The accommodation had everything we needed and we enjoyed the fresh decor. The BBQ was great too and we saw some turtles in the creek

    Rebecca2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful stay at Trina's place, located very near the heart of Boonah. The dairy is cosy and quaint - very comfortable beds, sufficient equipment in the kitchen and a clean bathroom. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet, farm-like experience!

Restored 90 year old farm building separate from house overlooking the McPherson Ranges and Mount Barney on a 17 acre farm block with animals. Great place to stay if you are walking Mt Barney, Mt May or Mt Maroon - 40 mins drive north. The cottage can accommodate 3 people using a queen bed and a trundle bed (extra $15/night). The cottage runs on solar power (off the grid); gas cooktop; gas hot water; septic toilet; tank water and wood heater. Dean's shed is overflowing with stories and harness.
Our 17 acre block is just a couple of minutes walk from Woodenbong, a small rural village in northern NSW, 2 hrs south of Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Being in the country we don't have access to all of the telecommunication providers that the majority of Australians have in the city and living on the coast. However, we are served by Telstra so if you have a Telstra account you can use your mobile phone, laptop, ipad here. We have access to a wi-fi - ask for the password (charges may apply). Our advice is to disconnect from the city and reconnect with the country.
Woodenbong is a small rural village and it was founded to support the growth of the timber industry and the pastoral industry. In the village there is a hotel, a 24 hour Mobil driveway, a chemist, a newsagency, a hardware store, a grocery shop, a real estate agency, a panel beating service, engineering services, a take away shop and Linda's Pitstop (coffee and food), a bus service to Kyogle, Casino and Lismore, a Pre School and a K-12 Woodenbong Central school. We also have access to a Hospital, doctor's surgery and ambulance service in Urbenville (12kms from Woodenbong).
  • Kim and Dean have done a wonderful job! A gorgeous little self contained cottage with everything you could possibly need. Such great value for money! Thank you for having us!

    Bron2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Kim’s place is really magical. Kim gave my kids carrots to feed Ellie the horse. The cabin is lovely and cosy. One has to be prepared for off the grid living which means watching timing of use for toasters, kettles, use of hot water etc. They were accommodating to have a generator running when we needed as an overcast day meant limited solar energy. Kim also gave us a special offer so we could ‘sneak’ out booking in for a brief overnight stay. She has put lots of thought into it. We also enjoyed the board games she provides in the room.

    Samantha2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, nice and quiet

    Robert2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Kim and Dean are lovely people and I'd go back anytime.

    Antoine2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a view, what a view, what a view! Sitting out on the verandah immediately outs you in relaxed holiday mode watching the animals and listening to the birds. The cabin has a wonderful aspect over the surrounding hills and catches the local breezes to keep the place cool. What a wonderful little gem, I will stay here next time I am in Woodenbong (I’ll be eagerly trying to think of an excuse to come back soon)

  • Charming cottage and stunning location

    Haitham2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is a repurposed farm building which has been well decorated with a super comfortable bed, beautiful timber touches and retaining original infrastructure - one of a kind! It is nice and close to town with a beautiful outlook. Woodenbong is close to several national parks including Mount Barney and border ranges so is the perfect place for hikers to stop and explore the area. We really enjoyed watching the local wildlife and visits from Ellie the horse whilst sitting on the back deck.

    Renee2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • We so enjoyed our time at Kim’s place. The peace and quiet from a hassle of city life was just what we were after, and we were not disappointed. The bed was extremely comfortable , and every thing you could need was there. Thanks Kim and dean for a great experience

Get away from it all and relax in a beautiful off-grid Eco Cottage on 38 acres. Experience the peace and beauty of a unique and ecologically sustainable Australian sub-tropical environment. Two distinct cottages make up the one residence at 'Uralba Eco Cottages'. One is occupied by your hosts, the other 'Kookaburra Cottage'. Both are separated by a breezeway, but each living space is designed to ensure the total privacy of its occupants. National and International Ecotourism Certification
With separate car parking and a disability access ramp, Kookaburra Cottage comprises one bedroom with queen bed, private bathroom, open-plan living area with lounge, dining area, and a large private verandah overlooking beautiful gardens. The verandah has its own vertical garden room and a calming water feature. This property is self-catering; with private BBQ, a small portable gas oven, fridge and kitchenette stocked with everything you will need such as crockery, cutlery, locally sourced tea and coffee etc. (Please note there is NO microwave). Organic towels and pillows, luxury linen and environmentally friendly bathroom supplies are provided, along with many added extras to make your stay with us all that more comfortable. The cottages run on 240v solar power entirely off-grid. Hot water comes from a separate solar system. There is a back-up generator and a LPG gas instantaneous hot water system (if needed). Filtered rainwater is gravity-fed to the cottages. Our Worm Waste Management system provides an environmentally sustainable solution for wastewater, sewerage and organic waste. The buildings were designed to maximise airflow and comfort while reducing the carbon footprint. Much of the timber used in construction of the cottages has been sourced directly from the property and/or recycled materials. We use renewable and recyclable products where possible, provide recycling bins and compost all food waste on site. The garden’s general design principles are based on permaculture and the whole property is organic (chemical free). There are plenty of things to do at Uralba. Relax on one of the comfy couches or in the hammock with a book, why not play a board game in the garden or become creative with some artwork? Enjoy the birds (over 100 documented species), butterflies, frogs and a variety of native animals such as wallabies, koalas and goannas.
Located in the foothills of the McPherson Range, we are surrounded by three World Heritage Listed National Parks (Border Ranges, Wollumbin and Nightcap Range), all within a short driving distance. The Yogi's Hut is a much loved off-grid earth studio, and home-away-from-home for our mother, grandmother and the family Yoga teacher, Carolyn. It is light-filled, simple, and peaceful. We are thrilled to share the hut with travellers and guests who enjoy rustic comfort, quiet bush ambience and eco-conscious living. The hut is located on a larger shared property but is completely private. It is located 5 minutes by road from the thriving alternative village of Nimbin.
The Yogi's Hut is a large, light-filled, one-room studio space, with an extra large partially covered deck for you to practice yoga or meditate in the morning sun. The hut is charming and comfortable with simple eco-amenties. To really enjoy your time here, you must be prepared to embrace rustic pleasures like an outside composting toilet, lighting a fire for warmth, and thoughtful use of the off-grid solar system. There is limited mobile coverage ( 1-2 bars Telstra/Optus outside on the deck) and no internet/ Wi-Fi in the hut. The hut is equipped with a fridge, toaster, and electric lights. We have a petrol-powered generator for back-up power on rainy days. In summer the high ceilings, earth floor and fans help the dwelling stay cool, and in winter the morning sun warms the space beautifully. We have a four-burner gas cooker, a small camping oven, and gas-fired hot water. The toilet is a composting toilet seperate from the main dwelling and the shower room is attached to the deck, meaning it cannot be accessed internally. We have provided warm robes for you to travel to and from the shower. The Yogi's Hut is best suited to a single traveller or couple, however, the built in lounge/daybed can be comfortably converted into x 2 single sleeping spaces for up to 2 more guests if needed.
The hut is located in a rural, sparsely populated area, but is only 5 minutes by road from amenties in the village of Nimbin. The Stony Chute valley is incredibly beautiful, and is always alive with birdsong. We see echindnas, wallabies, blue-tounge lizards, and goannas on the property. If you get up early we can show you where you are almost guaranteed to see our resident wallabies. Nimbin is a truly special place and has great food and farmers markets.
  • Me and my partner had a beautiful weekend away at the yogi’s hut. It was raining for the most part which was a great excuse to stay in and enjoy the space. The place has a real cosy feel and lots of character. Was really tough to leave! Pheobe was a wonderful host and very quick to respond to any queries we had. Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the area! Thanks pheobe :)

  • If you don't like a peaceful, secluded holiday in a perfect corner of Australia then this spot is unfortunately not for you. Our family immensely enjoyed a seven night stay over Christmas and absolutely loved the peaceful country surroundings. Running Creek, is surprisingly a very literal name as the creek was still flowing when most creeks in Australia were dry. The creek produced the one Bass (we released it back to the wild) and a platypus sighting for the family. The amenities were spot on and the house has been tastefully renovated on the inside. The train line through the property had our excited family running to the backdoor each time an occasional loco eased past for a wave. Down to earth owners Debbie and Rod went to great lengths to make our stay special and the Christmas decorations were above and beyond expectations. Tops stay.

  • Great little getaway, kids were occupied the whole time. We went on walks around the property to explore and found a tunnel under the train tracks, found the horses and fed them the carrots provided. The fire pit kept us warm under the stars. To top it off we got to feed some of the calves then saw the swimming spot and got to have turns on the kayak. 10/10 recommended from the whole family.

  • We had a great time at your place. It was a lovely holiday for us, kids enjoyed their freedom to run around the field and kayaking in the creek, feeding the horses and creeping around the cows. The cottage was great size, clean and very homey. Host were super friendly & welcoming and very thoughtful for providing all amenities. Thank you again for everything. Hope to visit you again.

  • The cottage sits between two spectacular mountain ranges. I never tired of gazing at them. With no neighbours in sight or earshot you can truly unwind in Debbie’s comfortable and well appointed cabin. I will be back for sure.

    Duncan2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experience! Each and every minute requirement for stay was taken care of. The cottage is at perfect location for people who want to enjoy their time in nature away from city life. The house is super clean and spacious.

Welcome to Balcone Sunflower Apartment. We offer a cute and quaint apartment in the Balcone Homestead. You have your own 1 bedroom apartment consisting of 1 Queen size bedroom, lounge room, kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet with towels, shampoo, conditioner for your convenience. The apartment is air-conditioned and we also offer laundry facilities on the property. Private access and will be provided with your own unique access code for your stay. Balcone is also fully self contained.
Established in Allora in 1898 as a one story dwelling by the McKenzie family. Raised and refurbished in 1906 by Mr Munro and used as a boarding house after adding the bottom storey. After Tattersalls Hotel burnt to the ground Balcone was dismantled board by board and re-built in its present location. In the early 19th Century, after the war, during the depression the balconies were filled in to accommodated more guests (unfortunately selling off all the lace balcony charm). Today it's situated close to the centre of Warwick and in easy walking distance to the main street, Palmerin Street, and the city venues. This makes it ideal for your stay.
Warwick is a beautiful country town with so much History. It boast many lovely eateries and venues to dine, offering old country cuisine. There is also many large chain stores (Woolworths, Coles, McDonald's, Big W, Target). There are many festivals and markets, Local art gallery, Historic steam train, Heritage houses and Buildings of our yester year, Quirky speciality shops and shopping all with in walking distance to Balcone.
  • Great spot and hosts. I've stayed here before and will again. Clean and tidy. Handy location as well.

  • The only hiccup is public transport to Warwick in and out is poor. I had to pay privately for someone to pick me up from Ipswich to Warwick that cost me $150 and a $100 to get back to Brisbane or I would of missed my plane. There is the movies shops and you could walk every where it's a quiet town so you hardly see or hear any one. The stars at night are the prettiest and the air is clean and there is space. The building is old but the unit is spotless with host helping me as much as he could do. If I needed him he was there in a flash. The bed is comfortable and you get in and out using a code. I had towels clean sheets TV and all kitchen utensils so if I wanted to cook I could. You only have to walk into town its not far. What would stop me going backpyblic transport in and out of Warwick is poor if your catching planes but if your driving go see Warwick and chill a great place to unwind if you need a break a cheap alternative to a resort its private quiet and a bit like going back in time .

  • A welcoming, comfortable place with many amenities. Apart from the bedroom (with a really comfortable bed!) there is a sitting-room, a well-equipped kitchen and small but adequate toilet/shower facilities. The fan in the bedroom was most appreciated!

  • Michaels place is an awesome value location to discover the super close little hippie village Nimbin or to just enjoy the easy and relaxed vibe of being in the nature and having your own space. We had breakfast with little Wallabies a few meters away and got invited every night for a super delicious self-made dinner from Michael who’s an ongoing chef next to building everything around the houses himself. We got our own private space but always felt welcomed to have a chat and Michael helped wherever he could (also when we had issues with our car). We are really happy with our stay, thanks Michael!

    Lena2020-02-08T00:00:00Z

  • Wow! There’s no short way to express just how amazing this place is! Will most definitely be coming back again. It’s just one of those places where you need to see it to believe it.

    Nicole2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Simply breathtaking. It’s been a while since we found somewhere so genuine and pure for a weekend getaway. A timeless, rustic feel that has everything you need. If you want to escape to the country and get away from the world, this is the place. The night stars were so breathtaking and sitting by the fire was just divine with hills all around you and cows talking to you in the distance. Even the kids were happy with no technology. 10/10. Just perfect.

    Sarka2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The location is private, remote and spectacular and the cabin offers a wonderful opportunity to experience it in a simple uncomplicated way - it evokes a pioneering spirit and is a wonderful place to simply enjoy some peaceful time while gazing at the panoramic landscape with its ever changing weather patterns.

    David2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • 5 stars is not enough, I would give 11 stars. Vanessa with her quick respond will make sure you will enjoy your stay. The place itself, OUTSTANDING in so many ways. We only stay for one night, it was rainy night and misty morning. but it's still magical. We definitely come back, maybe for another 365 nights, 😛. Thanks Vanessa.

    Rahmatyas2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Prepare for the view to be better than it looks, and the grass to be amazingly green and lush. The living space is rustic and charming, don't expect luxury, rather a simple comfort which draws attention to experiencing the location and view. No matter what the weather, it is still a wonderful place to be. I like to bring a few utensils for cooking in case something is missing, but the gas bbque is large and has a lid to use as an oven, plus ring burner, and the esky which runs off the solar is efficient and keeps temps at 1 to 2 degrees. Shower is hot and generous, and loo is with a view! Just behind is the rainforest which is spectacularly alive with all sorts of birds, in fact birds and cows are about all there is to break the silence. Love it!

Relax and rejuvinate at Big Bluff. Wake up to kookaburras that announce the dawn and rolling mist on the mountain tops. A cuppa on the deck watching the hares dart past, or a spot in the Polaris to check the cattle before brekky. Everyone is welcome at Big Bluff to experience a little bit of farm life.
Choose from a bushwalk to look out over Mt Lindsay or following the meandering creek. Connect with the land, and connect with the animals. Feed the chooks and collect the eggs, and just sit awhile and watch them. Catch up with a good book, pursue your creativity with your art or writing project. Switch off and let your mind to wander or slow down and truly talk to your partner or your children. Rest. Relax. A spot of paddock cricket or croquet, or try your hand at cooking damper over the campfire. Watch the light and the air change as the sun dips below the horizon, setting the clouds alight in a myriad of colours, then relax in the Bull Ring with a beer or two. The Bungalow sleeps four in a queen and two singles. It has a deck overlooking the creek.
The closest town is Kyogle (25minutes drive). The Main Street is well known for it's heritage Art Deco facades. It hosts a Farmers Market every Saturday morning. Our pick of the nearby parks is Sheepstation Creek in the Border Ranges National Park. It's an easy walk to the Brindle Creek Falls through ancient rainforest following the path of loggers of yesteryear.
  • The service provided by Jodie and Wayne was outstanding. They were great with the kids, made everyone feel very welcome. It was everything we wanted and more.

    Brianna2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jodie and Wayne have created a beautiful place for a relaxing getaway with a great experiences. Kids paradise really - interact with animals, collect eggs, learn about the cows, chase the dog chasing a hare:) Especially loved the breakfast basket with local produce, pizza oven and the Big Bluff bar area. Ride on a buggy to see the property was a great opportunity to learn about the kettle farming. Great tips from the host for the local waterfall hike. Beautiful side of the world!! Would recommend it to anyone and would like to go back one day when the creeks have water again!

    Sille2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • I wanted to book a place where my family could enjoy some disconnect from busy life. I couldn't have picked a better place. From the moment we arrived my kids were straight outdoors to the playground. We walked around the space and took it all in. They treated us to a ride and background of their farm (which was a definite highlight). The beautiful wildlife was constantly keeping us company. The home made bread, jam, butter, honey, and muslei were a delightful treat to go with their own chickens eggs for breakfast. We sat out on the porch and just enjoyed every last minute. My kids didn't spend anytime inside except to shower and sleep. And we really appreciated the brushbox falls waterfall walk recommendation from our hosts, as the hike was truly magic. We'll definitely be back again because our hosts made it extra extra special with their thoughtfulness. Thank you!

  • We had a fantastic short break at Big Bluff farm. We loved the farm tour on the Polaris. Was so nice to chill by the fire, toast some marshmallows and enjoy the serenity. Our 2 girls loved the swing and playground, seeing the chickens and collecting the eggs, and seeing the baby calves. Our bungalow was sparkling clean with thoughtful touches. Brekky basket was awesome. Thanks Jodie and Wayne!

    Danielle2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful part of the world! Jodie and Wayne’s hospitality was just amazing! The breakfast basket and freshly made pizza were beautiful. We also really enjoyed the tour around the farm. Such an amazing place and spectacular hosts!

  • Big Bluff is a lovely place! Stayed one night with a friend and they had everything we needed. Clean, comfortable and great breakfast hamper - complete with fresh homemade bread, eggs from their chickens and super yummy homemade condiments! Jodie also took us for a little drive around the property in their Polaris buggy (which was a real thrill for a city girl like me- riding up and down their hilly farm was probably the closest experience I’ll get to Jurassic Park!) Would love to come back some day!

    Kay2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much for your hospitality, Jodie and Wayne! We loved every aspect - our child didn’t want to leave Tuppence and Buttons behind and talks about them constantly every day since we’ve left. She simply adored them. Loved all the little touches! Such a beautiful brekky hamper, I am obsessed with that passionfruit butter and wanted some for home! Loved the chutney, fresh eggs + homebaked bread, + other items - yum. Comfy bed! Beautiful and intricate artwork by your mum, Ruth, adorned countless nooks and crannies. Glorious fresh air out there that I couldn’t get enough of, along with simply incredible views. Thank you for the awesome tour of the entire property on the Polaris; it was very informative and special, the little one was truly RAPT with it + the energetic tour-sidekick. ;) Thankful for a memory-filled, unique getaway that filled my heart with peace. Will have to come back again soon.

The Cabin is a converted shipping container with a double bed, kitchenette, shower and toilet. Heater and Air conditioner TV and DVD Under cover BBQ. Stunning valley views of the border ranges and farmland. Birds abound and wallabies hop by. Please Note: We are not a short distance from Lamington National Park - that is at least a 2 1/2 hour drive away. We are about a 30 minute drive from Mt Warning, Natural Bridge, Mebbin National Parks and 45 minutes from Springbrook National Park.
Limpinwood Valley is a beautiful part of the world, surrounded on 3 sides by the border ranges and Mount Warning (Wollumbin) on the other. We have 2 villages (Chillingham & Tyalgum) about a 10 minute drive away and still only 40 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport and beaches. We do not have easy access to hiking trails but we do have a pleasant pastoral walk. We are a NON smoking environment.
In the village of Tyalgum there are some very interesting shops and a lovely cafe 'Flutterbies'. Well worth checking out. Chillingham, another close village, has Bucks Barn with Australian Bush Tucker. Friday night is pizza and music night at the back of Flutterbies cafe in Tyalgum. There is no late night shopping in our villages so, if you need supplies you will need to be there before 5 p.m. or stop at Nerang or Murwillumbah on your way here.
  • We loved our time here. Noeline and Russell have really thoughtfully created a space for guests to relax and recharge, and are a very lovely couple. The view and environment are stunning, and little wallabies greet you in the morning and afternoon. The space is very clean and cosy.

    Sophia2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I had great expectations of our short holiday, and Noeline's place more than lived up to them! The location is sublime - it was the perfect environment for two extremely overworked mums to unwind. Days swimming in crystal clear waterholes, visiting Tyalgum and the Hare Krishna farm during rains and rainbows and seeing old friends and lunching at the Margaret Olley Regional Gallery. Nights drinking wine under the stars....and only a couple of hours drive from Brisbane in peak hour traffic! Noeline and her hubbie were lovely; unobtrusive but on hand to assist or provide any extras we needed. The cabin was rustic but that was our preference and the shower pressure was wonderful and included a view of the surrounding mountains. Visitors should be aware that the bins are outside and water should first be boiled for drinking according to sign over sink. We had a magical time. Thank you Noeline

    Peyote2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Had such a great weekend at Noeline's airbnb. A real country escape, can easily forget your conveniniently only 45 minutes from the gold coast. Noeline and her husband were great, very welcoming and friendly hosts. Will definately be back!

  • Noeline and Russell’s beautiful cabin is located in a breath-taking location with the most amazing mountain views, surrounded by bird life and wallabies. The cabin is super comfy and has everything you need including a bbq to cook outside and a beautiful, private deck. We had the best time in the 10 days we spent here and enjoyed trips in the surrounding area. There’s lots to explore such as cute towns with cafes, beautiful hikes and rivers close by and the beach is not too far either. Noeline & Russell are the most lovely hosts, very thoughtful and helpful. We loved our time here, highly recommend staying to anyone and are sure to be back. Thank you Noeline & Russell!

  • The place is amazingly beautiful, the facilities perfect, all little details thought of by the lovely hosts, Noeline and Russell. And the wallabies and birds made it even more special.

Included in the room is tea and coffee facilities with a kettle, bar fridge and outside your window is a shared outdoor undercover kitchenette area consisting of all basic necessities for dining and preparing meals, including crockery, cutlery, bbq, frypan and sink for washing up. Its close to the heritage listed Border Ranges National Park, Hanging Rock Falls and the unique hippy capital of Australia, Nimbin township. Our property is a peaceful place where our guests can interact with farm animals and birds while they relax, unwind and reconnect with nature.

Wadeville Woolies general store, take away and bottleshop is only 3km south on Kyogle rd. Annie's cafe is next door where you can enjoy a lovely Devonshire tea with home-made scones. Try the best home-made pasta at Armonica or delicious pizzas at La Trattoria, both restaurants in Nimbin. Sphinx Rock cafe is 10km north on Kyogle Rd, it's a great place to relax, enjoy a beer or wine and eat a scrumptious freshly made meal or rea/coffee and dessert. Every Sunday they have a great band playing with live music in the garden.
  • Very nice country home with plenty of friendly animals. Jenny and her husband are very nice and super accommodating.

  • Jenny went above and beyond during our short stay at Wishingwell Farm. We really enjoyed ourselves in the relaxing and private setting of the farm, away from the hustle and the bustle and went home re-energised. Thank you for this beautiful experience!

    Maja Lisa 2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jenny was friendly, hospitable and took time out to make us feel at home and give us a tour of the farm. We had a lovely time and miss the animals already! Our room was also super clean and cosy.

  • Beautiful farm fueled by Jenny and Davids’ love for animals. Wonderful getaway for us city folks. Great hospitality!

    Jaime2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • As soon as you arrive at jennys Farm you get greater by a host of sweet friendly animals, chickens, ducks, goats, dogs, cats who all seem to get on well with each other! You get the chance to go around feeding them all with jenny, which my grandson particularly loved. The room we had was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, with lots of yummy things in fridge for breakfast. Jenny and David took us out and about with them which was great as we didn't have transport and they were great company! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to be in a peaceful, beautiful setting with the added interest of all the lovely animals 😊

'Sixteen minutes north of Stanthorpe at the beginning of the wine trail, but miles from the hustle and bustle, The Bonsai Cottage is nestled amongst granite boulders and offers the perfect location for a getaway to do as little or as much as you’d like. The Bonsai Cottage is suitable for singles or couples and is set in developing gardens that includes a bonsai collection of more than thirty miniature trees. Please note that we only supply firewood during the winter months.
A private 33 acres surrounded by farm land

  • Bonsai Cottage is a beautiful space, and I can't wait to visit again. A great base from which to explore the Granite Belt, which is the wine & food mecca of Qld!

  • Beautiful, clean and comfortable place to stay !! :)

    Renee2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Geraldeen and David’s Bonsai Cottage has the distinction of being the first AirBNB I have ever gone back to a second time - and with good reason! It’s an excellent place to stay - the cottage is five-star, beautifully appointed and immaculately clean. And the surrounding property and gardens provide a beautiful, relaxed country atmosphere. The kitchen has plenty of space with a proper oven and gas cooktop. And then there’s the local goodie samples, breakfast is included, and even some homemade soup in the freezer. This is definitely one of the nicest (and the best-value!) places to stay in the entire Stanthorpe-Warwick region!

    Rachel2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Bonsai Cottage was amazing it was so beautiful and peaceful and was a wonderful escape for me and my partner. The little personal touches that Geraldeen put in was great the cheese platter, jams, fruit and breakfast goodies was really nice. We will be back again

    Isobel2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed two nights at Bonsai cottage. The communication prior was faultless and Geraldeen and David gave us a warm welcome on arrival. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. We appreciated the quiet location and wildlife. With Stanthorpe, wineries and Donnelly’s Castle (rock formations) being just a short drive made this a great location for us.

  • This was our second time at Jacqui’s place, the night after our wedding and Jacqui went above and beyond (AS ALWAYS! For example a tree came down during the night blocking the drive way and she was out clearing it for us at crack of dawn) Highly recommended staying at Jacqui’s place for a relaxing get away. Best host we have had even taking into consideration hotels! Thanks again Jacqui, we will see you again.

Jacqui was a great ghost and even prepared scones for us on one of our chill out days. Jacqui provided us a nice range of breakfast options and a real coffee machine. Best coffee in Bonalbo.

check out our group discounts by asking for an offer, as little as $25 per person for groups of 4 or more. Please consider our little paradise. we will have three dwellings listed soon. The second will be listed by the 10th of January, it will suit up to 4 people. Open plan with a great view of Nimbin Rocks the outstanding natural feature of the local area. We have lots of wild life. Beautification still in progress but the scenery is really what you are paying for.
self contained and available for first responders. Enquire about special prices. Our space is unique because of the view of NImbin Rocks but also the natural environment surrounding our listing, we have a four hundred year old fig tree very close to the builings and this is a haven for birds and bats, we have a healthy community of micro bats as well. You can book up to seven people for the listing . With three queen sized beds and one single bed it will also be great for a family with kids. The current listing has a veranda on both the eastern and western sides to provide access to sun or shade as required. With some of the local wallabies coming almost to your door in the early hours it is a beautiful experience to be able to see. Also we are close to national parks, water falls, cafes and restaurants. We aim to provide fresh fruit grown onsite in the coming years and in the near future provide guests with opportunity to pick their own vegetables and herbs grown in gardens close as a stone throw from your bedr Blue and Red Wrens are abundant here as are a number of different finch varieties, other birds include Wedge tailed eagles, Ospreys and Black Cockatoo and White Cockatoo to name just a few. Down the road at the bridge one can observe Platypus and the odd Echidna can be seen around the property.
Nimbin is famous throughout the world for it's natural charm and anti establishment community especially toward the use of cannabis, it is the second busiest town in Australia after Byron Bay and many people visit the town every day. Nimbin has many other great features including access to natural health practitioners and massage, a variety of eateries and souvineers to be bought. Also there are a number of heritage listed national parks within a short drive.
  • The property is close to the town of Nimbin, but lies secluded on a hill, looking at the Nimbin Rocks. The accommodation was clean, stylish and comfortable. The best part about our stay weren't the amazing view, the wallabies, that you can see from you porch, or the proximity to Nimbin town- the best part of our stay was our host: Micheal. He welcomed us with warm, homemade apple crumble, helped us to kick of a fire in front f our porch and gave us tips and recommendations about the area

    Tarek2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Awsome!!!!

    こうた2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Mik even prepared food for us after we reached his place at 3am in the morning. He was there to show us the area at that time of the morning.. 5 star, highly recommended

    Shahriar2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Michael is a superb host! I love getting back to nature and being able to see wallabies outside the bedroom window was amazing! Great place to unwind and unplug!

    Marinda2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time at Mic's property in Nimbin. You could see the powerful Nimbin rocks from my front door! A really cool location: nice and quiet, but very close to the town & local sights. Mic was super-nice, and very helpful, and he's a great cook as well! He was kind enough to cook up an excellent veggie curry on my first night! The place was large, open, and clean, with wallabies and kookaburras just outside for an amazing aussie experience! What a cool property and thoughtful host - a thanks for a wonderful little vacation!

    Yael2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Michael is a kind man and an amazing cook! We were lucky enough to try his potato bake and it was nothing short of divine! He accommodated for our vegetarian food requirements last minute and was more than welcoming and was happy to give us a few tips and tricks for things to do around the area! Make sure to not let the drive in scare you off, as stated, his property is a work in progress and eventually will be fit for over 15 people in the one house! Make sure to bring your own towel and shower stuff. Overall, he was a great host!

    Giulio2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • When you book a bed, you will automatically get a whole house to yourself. There are several buildings on the property. The location has direct views of Nimbin rocks and the magnificent Hanging Rocks waterhole for swimming is approximately 20km drive from here. Mik is a very friendly host who is working on site every day. The bed was comfy and I enjoyed the large kitchen and the gorgeous old trees on the property.

    Sabine Ekanta2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Super friendly ... super easy booking.. great communication and it was just an oasis. 5 mins up the road from beautiful Nimbin, plenty of room for a big family. Accomodation was more then adequate, and if you are lucky enough to experience Miles cooking, especially the “banoffe” pie then you’re in for a real treat. There’s simply no other place in Nimbin that provides value and friendly home style accomodation like Mikes places (you won’t get better, cheaper or friendlier accomodation on Airbnb anywhere in Australia then Mike’s place!) Thanks a lot Mike!

Relax and rejuvinate at Big Bluff. Wake up to kookaburras that announce the dawn and rolling mist on the mountain tops. A cuppa on the deck watching the hares dart past, or a spot in the Polaris to check the cattle before brekky. Big Bluff is a working cattle farm nestled in a hidden valley in the Border Ranges. It has a perfect playground, rolling lawns to run across and a purpose-built entertainment hut for tunes and tall tales.
Choose from a bushwalk to look out over Mt Lindsay or follow the meandering creek. Connect with the land, and connect with the animals. Feed the chooks and collect the eggs, and just sit awhile and watch them. Catch up with a good book, switch off and let your mind to wander, or slow down and truly talk to your partner or your children. Rest. Relax. A spot of paddock cricket or boules, or try your hand at cooking damper over the campfire. Feel the air change as the sun dips below the horizon, setting the clouds alight with a myriad of colours, then relax in the Bull Ring with a beer or two. The Bull Ring has a dream playground attached - slide, cubby, climbing frames and swings - so it is the hub of the farm for everyone! Valley View sleeps six with a queen bed, two king singles in the second bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. It has a fully self-contained kitchen and two outdoor decks with magnificent views of the valley and surrounding hills.
Big Bluff is so close to the Border Ranges National Parks. Border Ranges National Park (31,683 hectares), a World Heritage listed rainforest park on the rim of a vast and ancient volcano, adjoins Lamington National Park in Queensland. It stretches 85 kilometres from east to west. It forms part of the caldera of the Mount Warning shield volcano, the largest caldera in the southern hemisphere. It can be viewed from a range of lookouts with bush walks and picnic areas. Border Ranges National Park has spectacular views, pristine rainforests, waterfalls plunging into deep gorges, sparkling creeks, steep scarps and rugged ridges.
  • We had such a great time. Lisa and I went here with 3 kids for two nights on a stopover on the way to the Gold Coast. The only negative was that no one wanted to leave. Jodie and Wayne were so easy and available for all our needs. Showed us around the property on the Polaris bikes, kids bonded with the pigs, cows, bulls and rabbit but nothing like playing all day with Tuppence the dog. So much space and quiet. The barn bar with pool table and darts was also a great space to hang in the rain. When we did leave they told us about a great gin distillery on the way. We will definitely be back.

    Brett2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jodie and Wayne are incredibly welcoming and friendly and the view from the accommodation is outstanding! We all had an absolute ball with the highlight being the Polaris tour of the farm in the late afternoon - sooo much fun!

    Susan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time we've stayed at Jodie and Wayne's and we loved it as much as the first. So accomodating with the kids, letting us tag along and be part of the fun. A great place to share a weekend getaway with friends, space enough for eveyone and lots for kids (6, 6, 4 & 4) to do exploring and adventuring as kids should do.

    Erin2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay. Best farm stay I've ever been to. The accommodation was immaculate and we enjoyed getting to see the farm. Worth staying just for their passionfruit butter, yum!

    Sarah2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great time at the Big Bluff! Jodie and Wayne were the perfect hosts and made us very welcome. The farm tour and helping with the feeding of the cattle the next morning were absolute highlights. We were welcome to wander around the property and we enjoyed an evening picnic in the orchard. The drive to the pinnacles look out in the border ranges was well worth it too. Hopefully one day we’ll be back.

    Lucy2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Jodie & Wayne’s Farmstay! The little touches like the breakfast basket, the keep-sake luggage tag and the personal tour of the farm were the parts I loved the most. The kids loved feeding the animals and playing on the playground! We look forward to coming back again!

    Sarah2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Big Bluff was beautiful! We booked a very spontaneous trip and the place exceeded our expectations. Jodie and Wayne are lovely, they gave us a tour of the farm which we all loved. They also brought us fresh eggs, bread and bacon for the morning. The place is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a weekend away.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Jodie and Wayne’s, and the very thoughtful touches like the farm breakfast basket made it a perfect experience. • Joolie and Michael were wonderfully accommodating when we asked to bring our animals with us while travelling, the space is absolutely gorgeous and I would highly recommend getting up at sunrise to see the gorgeous surroundings, it’s definitely a sight to see!

  • Joolie’s place is a little corner of paradise. Exactly has shown on the pictures, it has everything you need for a quiet getaway. Communication was super easy. Self-check-in is simple. We arrived just after sunset and Joolie came to offer a heater and extra blanket just in case we got cold. Extra touches like chocolates and wine made us feel very welcome :) We really enjoyed spending the night in the cabin and hope to be back soon to enjoy more of what it has to offer!

  • This little cabin is a perfect escape up high in the hinterland with spectacular views over the valley. Has all the amenities that you need for a quiet getaway.

  • We had a lovely stay at Joolie’s place. It’s very peaceful and relaxing. However, make sure you take food as there aren’t a lot of places to dine around the local area.

Ridge Cottage is a hand built stone and timber house in a natural private setting, surrounded by Lamington National Park. A perfect spot to get away from it all. Inside, the upper level is a kitchen and dining area, while the sunken open plan living area includes lounges, a fireplace and a queen bed with a loft above that has a single bed. There are also two verandahs with outdoor settings. The shower and composting toilet are in a separate room on the verandah, just outside the loungeroom door.

Your hosts live in the main house at the property entrance and you access the cottage via your own private driveway. It is a lovely country town which features several cafes, an art gallery and book shop and the Canungra Hotel. This is also the closest town for petrol and a supermarket. Springbrook is the next mountain east of Beechmont and has a number of walks to choose from including Purlingbrook Falls and the short walk to Best of All Lookout, which is 1000m above sea level. Dave Groom Studio Gallery. All of the artwork in the Cottage is by your host, local landscape artist, Dave Groom. Adjacent to Ridge Cottage is the Dave Groom Studio Gallery, which is open to the public. The Gallery is generally open between 10am – 4pm. There will be a sign on the wall at the end of the Gallery telling you whether it is open. Please feel free to visit during opening hours, or contact Dave to arrange a time to visit.
The unique feature of the Ridge Cottage is its private location on the edge of Lamington National Park. Back down the road is the rural settlement of Beechmont, once a large dairy farming community, it is now a scenic landscape of varied farmland. While there are no shops on Beechmont there is a cafe at the Old School sight, as well as the Flying Bean Cafe at Rosins Lookout. This is also a popular hangliding launch sight and a spectacular spot for views into Numinbah Valley and over the border into NSW towards the ancient extinct shield volcano, Wollumbin.

Dave is a great host, here at check in and check out and in between if needed. The bottle of pinot noir was a much appreciated touch!

  • My partner and I celebrated Valentine’s Day at this magical and enchanting self-built cottage. The privacy of the cottage promotes a cosy and comfortable atmosphere. We enjoyed a massage - recommended by Dave (Bliss Massage Beechmont) - in front of the fire place while the rain teemed down! Pack your slippers and warm clothes because you won’t want to leave The Ridge Cottage!!

    Elly2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely fantastic Airbnb. Dave was extremely welcoming. The cottage was perfect for a few days away to escape the city. Amazing views, clean, cosy, with thoughtful touches. We’ll be back for sure! Thanks Dave!!

  • Dave’s cottage has been built with love by an artist. We thoroughly loved being immersed in nature in the bush surroundings with wildlife around us. The hammock on the desk was so relaxing. A great place to go to relax or spend time in nature

Silky Oak Cottage is a quaint cottage situated close to the town centre of Stanthorpe on the Granite Belt. Walking distance to walking tracks along the creek, shops, cafes and restaurants. The cottage has the bathroom and living area downstairs with a romantic queen bedroom upstairs. The cottage is perfect for couples and furry friends (pets). Please note a two night minimum stay is required. A three night minimum stay is required over Easter and Christmas periods
Modern downstairs living area which includes kitchen, bathroom and living area with a gorgeous spiral staircase leading to the loft bedroom (queen bed) which has French doors opening to a private balcony.
The cottage is within walking distance to cafes, restaurants, shops and the beautiful walkways along Quart Pot Creek. You will find the locals extremely friendly and welcoming.
  • The Silky Oak Cottage is beautiful - picture perfect from the outside and cosy inside. It was an excellent base for a relaxed weekend in Stanthorpe. The fire was a lovely amenity on a cold wet evening! The cottage is within an easy walk of the centre of Stanthorpe and is close to the start of the bike trail to Ballandean. Debbie was great to deal with and I would highly recommend.

    Phil2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We would recommend Silky Oak Cottage to any couple looking for a peaceful getaway in a tasteful ambience. Debbie responded promptly to our queries. The cottage is sparkling clean.

    Peter2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. A beautiful cottage and very thoughtful touches by the host (e.g. even had breakfast items provided like bacon, eggs etc).

    Matthew2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage and surroundings, close to town, can walk anywhere. We had a great time there

    Callum2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • An amazingly cute cottage, inside and out. Perfect for our romantic getaway. We didn't get an opportunity to use the fireplace, but will do so on our next visit to Stanthorpe. Very convenient location, a short walk from an amazing restaurant down the road called Anna's (bookings required). A little further down the road is a creek with lovely pathways for walks in the early morning and late afternoon. Birds, friendly locals walking their dogs, and a cool bridge are things you are likely to encounter/see. Debbie's cottage is in a great location for those wanting the convenience of staying close to town.

    Kelly2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie’s cottage is tastefully designed, spotlessly clean and well appointed for that special weekend away. The cottage is conveniently located with a short walk into Stanthorpe. Debbie responds quickly to emails/texts and makes your stay super easy to organize.

    Claire2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication, Debbie was happy to accommodate our extra requests. The cottage was very cute and had everything you needed. Allowing dogs is a massive win for us! We stayed just after the fires in Stanthrope and Debbie was very helpful leading up to the visit with our concerns. If anyone is having doubts about visiting Stanthrope because of the fires and drought - it is actually the perfect time. The locals need your support and everything is still open and operating.

    Cassie2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem of a place in Stanthorpe! It’s cozy and I wouldn’t attempt the spiral stairs alone after a few glasses of wine, but that would be my only proviso for future guests. It’s beautifully intimate and stunningly presented, with lovely little touches. Being quite a romantic setup - inside and out - I look forward to returning when it’s colder with a plus one and staying for more than one night. Debbie was a dream to deal with. Even though we didn’t meet face to face, she was very responsive before, during, and even after my stay. We really need to support this area. Local businesses are dying with the prolonged drought and now, of course, the fires.

Breakfast was yummy and enjoyed having it at the verandah. Polly was great and gave us some good tips / advice. Thanks for a lovely time. Hope to go back one day

  • Polly and Lilly’s place was just lovely- a large older style house in an elevated area- the little tv room has a nice view of the granite outcrop- we even caught a glimpse of the old steam train passing by. Comfortable and homey, it’s the thoughtful touches that really made our stay great- lovely linen sheets, good quality towels, a coffee pod machine and nice selection of teas and the food provided for breakfast was beyond generous. It was pouring with rain when we arrived so we settled in and watched one of the many dvds on hand. All in all we would def stay here again!

    Brydee2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Polly and Lilly’s place is superb in every way. We’d definitely stay here again - welcoming, clean, lovely amenities, great value! Thank you!

  • Perfect space for a couple looking for a relaxing place to spend the night. The bed was comfy, and having the extra room with a tv and sofa was nice. My favourite part was waking up in the morning to the sounds of native birds, and sitting on our private verandah enjoying the morning sun.

    Lara2019-12-06T00:00:00Z

  • The space that Polly and Lilly offer feels like a home away from home. They have furnished the place beautifully, and there are thoughtful little touches all around! We loved the local guidebook, and the croissants awaiting us in the fridge! It's a beautiful place, and a nice space to come back to at the end of your night.

    Thomas2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This simple on pointe accommodation suited us perfectly, we felt at home with good cotton sheets, treats in the fridge, comfy pillows, sunny private little veranda, books, puzzles, peace, so central, loved it ✔️
