After a steep, zigzag ascent, you will reach a magic place of untouched nature and omnipresent silence, rarely disturbed by jingling of cowbells. If you are lucky you can meet turtles or lizzards roaming the hills around. Ariadni's place was crystal clear and extremely comfortable with 16km distance from beautiful beaches of Chalkidiki. We had a great time there!!!!!

The house is located just in the forest and is fully remote, very nice for someone who wants to escape the city madness. It's made of wood and you straight away feel this amazing fragrance once you enter the house. Even though there are mosquito traps, they still manage to get inside, but there are plenty of mosquito repellents in the house, so it helps. Nice area outside to relax and enjoy the view. There's no wifi but there's 4G, which works perfectly fine. No hot water, but you get used to the cold showers, as you need to cool down anyway. It's possible to warm hot water with a gas stove and take a proper shower. There's a supermarket nearby and very good and affordable restaurants up the mountains (just ten minutes drive), and they are twice cheaper than the ones near the sea. Having a car is essential, but it gets dirty quickly. Luckily there's a gas station nearby (5 min drive), where you can wash it if you care about it. The fridge is small but compact, so don't buy too much stuff that spoils easily. Nearby forests are good for hiking, even with children. Easy paths everywhere. Overall very nice experience and would love to come back.

One of my best Airbnb experiences. The cabin is wonderful, thoroughly enjoyed by our family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers. Ariadne is a brilliant host, leaving lots of supplies in the cabin to make the transition to remote rural life easier than you'd expect.

What a lovely house! Peaceful and super relaxing in the middle of the forest. You can perfectly travel Chalkidiki from this point or just stay in the house or near it and enjoy this beautiful peace of nature! It was a pleasure.

The stay was an amazing visit to paradise. It’s charming and very private. The thought of living self-contained is great. The nature, views and walking tracks are great. I wished we could have stayed there longer. The host is absolutely friendly I can just recommend that place to everyone who needs to calm down!

Ideal retreat if you want to spend a few days in the tranquility of nature! Very nice view from the veranda to the mountains, we spent a lot of time in the porch swing with read :) Arrival only with the car possible, and you should not be afraid of insects. Come again!

Our stay at the Paris home was wonderful. We were welcomed by his parents, who were very friendly, helpful and discreet. The house was very comfortable, cool and bright. There we found what you might need, such as clean towels, bed linen, shampoo and an equipped kitchen. It also has a very sweet yard where one can enjoy the coolness of the mountain and the tranquility of the village. Iloana, our mum of Paris, helped us a lot in all the moments we needed something and offered us coffee and delicious cooked mushrooms for which the area is famous and just barely picked up by her husband from the mountain. Taxiarchis is a very nice village with ouzo in the square and beautiful walks on its paved streets as well as in the surrounding area. It was a really nice week mainly thanks to the simple atmosphere of the home and the parents of Paris that made us feel very intimate. Our stay at Paris' home was great. His parents who welcomed us are really warm, kind and discreet. They provided us with everything we needed and they offered us coffee and local mushrooms which they had collected from the mountain. The house is calm, simple, bright and cool during summer with a very nice yard where you can enjoy your coffee and enjoy the quietness and sweet breeze of the mountain. Taxiarhis is a very nice village with traditional tavernas on the central square, small beautiful roads in the village, and nice places to visit around. It was a great week of relaxation mostly due to the simplicity of the house and also Paris' parents who were great hosts and made feel at home.

For the 2nd consecutive summer we visited the 1888 Mansion and this is the best proof for the amazing hospitality it offers. The clean and cool air, the quiet and welcoming neighborhood, the beautiful, comfortable and spotless house, the wonderful mountain and sea routes, all this year. It would be superfluous to repeat what I wrote last year, I will only add that this year was ... even better! Neither we nor our children wanted to leave. Whatever houses we visit, as many times as we go, the Mansion always remains the best and most enjoyable experience. What else to say / write apart from the fact we visited Archontiko 1888 for the 2nd consecutive summer. The clean and fresh countryside, the calm and friendly neighborhood, the beautiful, cozy and spotless house, the gorgeous routes to the mountains and / or the sea. No need to repeat my last year's review, apart from the fact that this time it was even better! No matter how many houses we visit, Archontiko remains our best and most wonderful experience.

Very good and rich facilities for breakfast. The house was very clean but there were enough towels. The place was busy and you could eat good and cheap in the tavern on the square.

We stayed for 8 nights in August. Everything was very nice, as described on the site, the house is looking exactly like on the images. The place is very clean, quite with a lot of green space, BBQ area and fresh air. The recommendation is to travel with a car since there is a 15 min drive in the mountains. George's parents is a delightful, helpful, modern couple. Big advantage for the place. If you want to combine the mountains and the sea this is the place to go!

By far the best hosting experience I've ever experienced. They behaved like a family. We felt at home from the first moment we passed the door. They greeted us with a smile and traveled to this really beautiful house / mansion. They had taken care of having a full fridge and lots of breakfast or snack products that really exceeded all expectations. The house had everything, everything we left behind as if we were back there. Having informed us that we have 2 young children, they had already set up a playground, toys and a bicycle for their employment! The barbecue is ready for illumination. A lovely garden with tomatoes and peppers, where we could safely leave our children safely, while at night we enjoyed the magnificent tranquility of the mountain under the moon. The house is very cool and comfortable, due to the layout and style of the houses of another era. Having chosen the 1888 Mansion for summer holidays, I felt that this is an ideal choice that combines the pure oxygen and coolness of the mountain (and of course the beautiful Holomontas) with beautiful beaches that are only 20-30 minutes away. And all this in a beautiful home with unprecedented comfort and hospitality. I imagine that for winter getaways, it will be even better ... By far my best rental experience. We were treated like family. We felt like home since we stepped inside. They welcomed us with a warm smile and guided us through this wonderful traditional residence. A fridge full of products and a variety of snacks were already there. They knew we had 2 little children so they had already put a cot, toys and even a bicycle for their amusement! BBQ was ready to smoke. The yard was great, including a garden with tomatoes and green peppers, where we could let kids safely play during the day and enjoy the moonlight at night. The house was pleasantly cool and comfortable, as a result of its traditional layout. We picked this place for our summer vacation and it proved to be the best of everything. Mountain breeze in a great house with beautiful surroundings and only 30 minutes away from a variety of superb beaches. I am already thinking about visiting it during the winter for an equally sensational experience ...

We had a wonderful stay at the place of Ionnis and Stamatia - they are both really lovely, friendly and helped us out in any situation. The apartment has everything, is very tidy and you can sit nicely outside and inside. We have visited almost whole Chalkidiki at our stay because the flat is very central and you can go everywhere you want - by the sea, boat trip around Athos or into the midland. It's the perfect place for you if you want to relax, do trips to the sea/ mountains or just have a barbecue in the garden.

We really enjoyed our stay at the country cottage! The place is a hidden gem in the mountains, away from the tourists but close enough to the lovely beaches and places that the area has to offer. The house has everything you need to relax on your holiday. Our kids loved the big and lush garden, hammocks, friendly dog and cats and the toys the owners kindly lent us. We loved their hospitality, chats about the area and warm welcome to their home. We would surely come back here and will recommend the place to family and friends!

Stamatia and Ioannis are the greatest hosts we ever had and they made our stay one to remember. It is difficult now to decide what made our experience unforgettable-the sparkling clean home, the great amenities, the cozy design and stylish touches, the perfect location, the fact that our hosts have made us feel welcomed like old friends do. They have attended to our every need, they have prepared a great welcome meal, gave us great advices and shared with us local tips that made our vacation the most authentic we had so far in Greece. The only bad thing that we can mention is that we had to go back home...Thank you one again, Stamatia and Ioannis!

Giannis and Stamatia are the best host we ever met. They welcomed us warmheartedly with homemade pita and a basket full of delicious food. They gave us tips about the environment and were around in case we needed something. Unfortunately we only stayed three nights at their place. We hope to stay in their little paradise again.

The experience in the house of Stamatia and Ioannis was great and one that I can only highly recommend. The hosts are friendly and always helpful. They gave us many useful tips about good places nearby (beaches, restaurants and hiking routes). The house is perfectly equipped, very stylish and sparkling clean (exactly as in the pictures). We also really enjoyed the outside BBQ, the garden and the view. The location is also very good even though the house is not at the sea. There are some near beaches (15 minutes by car) and a lot of other beaches in Sithonia and Kasaandra, which are less than one-hour driving. Overall - perfect place for vacation and relax:)

We kindly recommend to anyone who wants to visit Halkidiki to choose house of Stamatia and Iannis. It is a small corner of Heaven, with a wonderful garden and a very comfortable terrace. Country cottage is a really special place: peaceful, lovely, full of small but cosy details that make us felt like being at home. The position of the house is perfect to reach easily every part of halchidiki by car like we did. Ioannis and Stamatia are wonderful guests: generous, funny, careful, friendly and always ready to give us precious advices for our daily trips. We spent a wonderful holiday with them and thanks to them. We would recommend this lovely place for those who are searching for relax, good conversations and a deep touch with authentic Mediterranean people. The apartment is very very clean, so nice and cosy. This was not just a holiday but also the beginning of a friendship!

The Country Cottage was a pleasant surprise for my family and I, don't know where to start...The hosts are absolutely magnificent, catered to every need and make you feel instantly that you are part of their family. We arrived late to a fresh home-cooked meal, and departed with a home-made spinach/cheese pie! The house is brand new and spotless, the best Air BnB I've stayed in yet. The location is perfect to explore the Halkidiki area, with the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen (Kava Beach, Possidi Cape, Drenia Island) within 1 hour drive. The house is up on a hill so you can escape the heat after a day on the beaches, we didn't even have to use the air conditioner at night to sleep. While staying here make sure you eat at the Marigoula, best gourmet Greek Food ever. Overall very pleased, thank you Ioannis and Stamatia! We hope to see you again -The Curtis Family
