Many of the materials used in this house were either reused from old local houses or milled on the property itself, giving it a lot of character, while remaining modern. Hidden retreat close to i80, downtown Colfax, and the famous transcontinental railroad (the Zephyr stops here). The studio is a separate building on half an acre at the front of the property next to the carport. We like to surprise guests with free-range chicken eggs and sourdough bread as available. Close to hiking trails, lakes, and the snow. The A/C unit keeps the space cool after a long hike and a space heater keeps you warm in the winter months!

Newly rebuilt Guest cottage. Very quiet bedroom with king sized Avocado healthy mattress. 3 minute drive to downtown Nevada City but in the beautiful trees. Super hot strong shower. Kitchenette; hot plate, toaster oven, fridge, microwave. Fast Wifi, TV, premium cable Dogs allowed with additional cleaning fee that ranges from $10-$25 a day based on hair and dirt. A few stairs inside the house between levels. Lovely patio outside.
