The cottage is located close to hiking and camping opportunities such as the Small Bear Tour (10km) and Ruka (approx. 18km). The cottage is electrically heated and has a composting, clean outdoor toilet. Drinking and service water is obtained from a well in the yard that works with an electric pump.
