Designer Retreat Near The Amazing Borough Market

Gently stylish, this hideaway occupies a sleepy backstreet in the regenerated London Bridge area. Food-focused Borough Market is minutes away, an historic wine bar waits next door and the Shard, Britain’s tallest building, is thrillingly visible from your bedroom window. The designer interior features original brickwork and a cobbled courtyard represent the Victorian origins of this building. There’s also an attractive kitchen and a long sofa for horizontal TV-watching. You'll be cosy, comfy and extremely content. No check-ins after 2300hrs. We re-furbished the apartment to a very high standard for our own use. The sitting room is large, comfortable & sunny, furnished with a beautiful Italian sofa, leather armchair, a ‘Noguchi coffee table. This is complimented by a walnut floor, designer lighting and an original restored Victorian warehouse brick wall. The dining area has a walnut wood dining table and four ‘Eames' chairs. This leads into the white modern, kitchen with white stone worktops. You will find the kitchen is fully equipped and includes an integrated dishwasher, washing machine / dryer, microwave,fridge and a Nespresso coffee make but you will need to bring your own pods. The bedroom has a very comfortable king size bed (often mentioned in reviews!). There is a large modern Italian wardrobe with drawers & plenty of hanging space. The design is completed with a stylish mirrored dressing and bedside tables. From this room double doors with a french balcony offer great views of the iconic ‘Shard' building. We offer guests the choice of either feather or anti-allergy pillows and duvet and a hairdryer is provided. The new bathroom has a modern white suite including a large walk in shower with both overhead rainfall and wall mounted shower heads. There is a large heated towel rail and full length mirror. We provide luxury shower gel, shampoo / conditioner and soap. Normal check-in time is from 4pm until 10pm, if the flat is available we are happy to accommodate an early check-in. We can receive guests between 8.30am - 10.00pm Monday to Saturday and only until 6pm on a Sunday, if you need to arrive outside of this time period please enquire if we can meet you before you book. We don't meet people after midnight, so please check your flight arrives well before 10pm as it takes about an hour and half to get into central London from both major airports - Heathrow and Gatwick and passport control can take up to an hour or more depending on where you're flying from. Access to the property is by a fob key through big, secure, double external doors leading into a pretty cobbled courtyard. The same fob key accesses another door on the left, which takes you up two flights of stairs to our apartment. There isn't a lift, but the stairs are manageable. Set on a cobbled street in Central London, the flat is around the corner from The Shard and the amazing Borough Market, Walking distance to the River Thames, the Tate Modern Gallery, The Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Other iconic sights are a short tube or taxi ride away. London Bridge tube station is a couple of minutes walk away. Buses & Taxis run regularly along Southwark Street around the corner from the apartment. Waterloo Station for British Rail is a 15 minute walk away, London Bridge British rail is 5 minutes walk and the river boats that run along the Thames are nearby. The hot water is set to come on twice a day. If you need to boost the hot water the switch is clearly marked inside the cupboard next to the kitchen. The heated towel rail also is set to come on twice a day...morning and evening. We have a Nespresso coffee machine and ask that you bring your own coffee pods. There are several Nespresso shops in London includin(URL HIDDEN)the huge Regent Street Store & inside Selfridges on Oxford Street.

Stylish and Comfortable Apartment in West London

Watch the sunrise from the balcony of this stylish, comfortable, and beautifully appointed fifth floor apartment. Cook dinner in the full kitchen, and have dinner outside while admiring the views of the peaceful, communal park and central London. The flat is on the 5th floor with far reaching views across London, although in the summer when the leaves are on the trees this is somewhat obscured! The open plan living area has a sofa and dining table to seat 4 people. There is free wifi and a smart TV with access to BBC iPlayer etc and DVD player. There is also a bluetooth speaker which can be used in any room. The kitchen is well equipped with integrated fridge/freezer, microwave and oven. There is an electric hob, kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and toaster. The spacious bedroom has a luxury Hypnos king size bed and plenty of wardrobe/drawer space. There is a hairdryer available for use. The modern bathroom has a shower over the bath, basin and toilet. White fluffy cotton towels and Egyptian cotton bed linen will be provided for your stay. As well as the balcony and the park, there is a communal garden which you are free to use in the centre of the building. The surrounding area has limited free on-street parking (mostly time restricted during the day) and there is also a Zipcar available for use by the building. Guests have exclusive use of the apartment as well as use of the communal gardens and secure bike store. I will be available by phone/email if you need anything during your stay. From South Acton (2 min walk away), or Acton Town (12 min walk) there is easy access to central London and Heathrow. Lovely Chiswick is close by, with shopping, bars, restaurants and plenty of fun places to explore. Alternatively, enjoy green spaces like Gunnersbury Park or Chiswick House. Chiswick Business Park is a 14 minute walk away. There is a good sized grocery store (Sainsburys Local) 2 mins around the corner which stocks all the essentials you will need for your stay. South Acton station is a 3 minute walk away which is on the Overground Line and provides quick access to Kew and Richmond which are by the Thames and are well worth a visit with great shopping, bars/restaurants and walks. Acton Town (Piccadilly and District lines) and Chiswick Park (District line) stations are both about a 12 minute walk away and provide quick access into central London and also to Heathrow Airport terminals (approx 20 mins from Acton Town). You can walk in 15 mins or get the bus to the very popular and fashionable Chiswick High Road which has a great selection of restaurants including 2 Michelin starred restaurants, bars and plenty of shops. There are market stalls at the weekend where you can buy quality fruit, vegetables and flowers. Acton is also 10 mins away with independent shops and salons on Churchfield Road. Chiswick Business Park is easily reached on foot (15 mins) or taking the Overground 1 stop to Gunnersbury station. The surrounding area has some free on-street parking and there is also a Zipcar available for use by the building.

DLR to Canary wharf in 8 mins and Westfield Stratford (Olympic Park) 20 mins DLR There is a thames clipper jetty located next to the cutty sark, this river service into the heart of the city provides an interesting alternative to the conventional rail transport. There are two balconies for a morning cup of tea or an evening glass of wine. Guests will have the entire flat I am available for guest queries and usually send a text the day after checkin just to say Hi and ensure guests have settled in. Davey or Richard will always meet you at the property for check in and run through and questions that you have. Greenwich has a great village feel with cool restaurants, cafes, and Greenwich Market, as well as Greenwich Observatory. The flat is approximately five miles from Central London (just a short train, ferry, or DLR ride away). Greenwich Mainline and DLR (URL HIDDEN) 8 mins to London Bridge 13-15 minutes Waterloo East 18-20 Minutes Charing Cross Station (Trafalgar Sq) There is also a Water Ferry directly from Greenwich to the O2 or The Centre. The Flat is fantastically located just seconds from the Natural History Museum, Imperial College and in the heart of Museum district fits 5 people. The flat is just five minutes walk from Gloucester Road and South Kensington Tube stations which are on the Circle, District and Piccadilly Lines (which serves Heathrow Airport). It is perfectly located for events at the Royal Albert Hall, V&A, Natural history Museum as well as shopping in Kensington and Chelsea. All Flat Minimum. Set in an Edwardian townhouse in the heart of South Kensington, the flat is only steps away from the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. The Gloucester Road and South Kensington Tube stations are a 5-minute walk away. Yes South Kensington station and Gloucester station are both 5/6 min walk from the flat. Buses & Taxis & Ubers are highly available to all destinations as well. An amazing location, being able to see one of the greatest museums and buildings in London from your living room truly is a rare privilege. You can even use a little balcony to sit outside and sip from a glass of wine while you watch the world passing by at a fast pace. Not only it's an extremely convenient location but it’s also a very quintessentially beautiful street and building. You can feel nobility the moment you enter and there is no doubt those high ceilings and large areas provide a rare sense of space in London. The furniture is made of beautiful (and some custom made) design classical pieces, this is when it starts getting luxurious, the main bed is also bigger than the average and they all have an incredible feel to it. The entertainment is fantastic and the kitchen comes with all the modern appliances you might need. It’s a complete apartment and there are many special aspects to it. The space fits 5 people, the fifth person can sleep in the living room on the sofa, it’s super comfortable.
