Medieval Fort, Sud Ardèche stunning loft with pool

Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

This 56 m2 suite, giving access to a private terrace of more than 15 m2 overlooking a pond, combines contemporary style and the character of old stonework. A large unoverlooked glass area will allow you to feel at one with nature. Guests can relax by the pyramid fireplace (lit from October to the end of April) as well as in the suite's private spa (jacuzzi). Breakfast will be offered with a sweet or savory option according to your preferences.

The 1 st accommodation is equipped with 1 bedroom with 1 bed of 1.60, 1 living room with sofa bed, a bathroom, 1 summer kitchen, and 1 swimming pool. The small chalet is 10 metres from the house, it includes: 1 double bed, 1 bathroom with shower, toilet, sink, 1 terrace.
