The Magical Cabin on Back Creek
Magic is the word most people use when they visit this hidden gem. Built in 1939 as a fishing cabin by a gentleman who incorporated box cars as rafters and beams, dates still visible since removing the attic. By far the best place I've ever lived. I decided to share it with others who love to explore, who love listening to the voice of the creek or who come just to sit on the porch high above the creek with a spouse, friend, family, or alone. For the best sleep, open the bedroom window!

Stunning Long Range Views, Amazing Sunsets, Sauna
4WD/AWD Vehicle Highly Recommended Slow down, breathe deep, and escape to The Easy Plateau - a cozy, pet-friendly cabin perched on your own private mountaintop. With breathtaking long-range views for miles, this spot is an amazing retreat for those craving quiet, comfort, and connection with nature. Sip coffee on the wraparound covered porch as the sun rises, unwind in your private indoor sauna, spin records in the loft, and gather around the fire pit beneath a sky full of stars.

Black Water Junction Cabin
Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. Because I am such a cold natured person, I installed heated floors and a heated towel bar in addition to the mini-split and electric fireplace! The cabin is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, pot belly pig, and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, day bed swing or hot tub looking out over the landscape and do nothing.

Falling Pines Historic Cabin
The original log cabin was built in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). These cabins were built after the Blue Ridge Parkway was laid in 1935, which is just down the street. With love and attention our cabin's renovations were complete in 2017. We kept the original log walls to add a rustic feel to the contemporary, crisp clean decor. The cottage overlooks the babbling waters of Back Creek but is just a 5 minute drive to the grocery store, private yet convenient.

There are plenty of other hiking trails around and river sports are nearby.
