An old cowshed converted into a two story sleep 12 gîte on a 20 acre micro farm for stays with family and friends. 50 minutes drive from Bordeaux. Easy access to the Atlantic Ocean (Arcachon/Dune of Pilat), medieval castles and villages, thermal spa, many châteaux in the Bordeaux wine regions, tranquil canals, lakes, scenic Dordogne, and even the Basque country and the Pyrenees. A good base for cycling, fishing, and walking holidays, or for a farm stay to experience tranquil French farming life.

A spacious converted barn. The ground floor has a large living space with period fireplace, dining area and fully-equipped kitchen. Downstairs has a double/twin bedroom, separate shower room with WC. Upstairs are two large double/twin bedrooms, each with en suite shower and WC. UK/FR TV channels and free wifi. An individual secure garden with clothes airer, barbecue and seating area. A shared 12 X 5 metre pool with our other 2 bedroom gite La ville Maison. Communal gardens and boules court.

Ideally located near the unmissable sites of the region (Sarlat, Gouffre de Padirac, Collonges-la-Rouge,...), hilltop medieval castles and villages, top-notch restaurants and all kinds of activities (canoeing, swimming in the river, hiking, biking, rock-climbing, pot-holing....).

La Grange at Le Clos du Comte is a beautifully converted stone barn, originally dating from 1848, and located in Mas de Cause, a hamlet about 2 km above the village of Daglan. It is within 25 km of the medieval town of Sarlat and all the major sights of the Dordogne, including the Vallée des Cinq Chateaux. At the end of a busy day, you can return to relax on the estate, which comprises 18 hectares (approximately 45 acres) of unspoiled, utterly tranquil forest and pasture.

An eco wood burning hot tub which you can use at any time with a glass with bubbles whilst enjoying the unpolluted night sky or fun during the day. Pizza evenings with our own new bread oven and create your own pizza, by arrangement after booking.
