The metro and a variety of restaurants are easily reached on foot. Downtown Pasadena is a short bike ride, healthy walk, or brief car ride away. Pasadena is a beautiful town with so much to see! We are a 10-minute walk to the Lake Gold Line Metro Station, where you can catch the Gold Line to South Pasadena and enjoy Mission Street's shops/restaurants, take the Del Mar stop where you can take in the famous Rose Bowl Flea Market (2nd Sunday of every month), take the Union Square stop to experience Olvera Street (margaritas, anyone?) or a delicious French Dip sandwich from Phillipe's. If it's a museum you seek, exit at the Memorial Park Station to find the Norton Simon Museum, one of the best collections of visual art in the Los Angeles area. Downtown Pasadena with it's wonderful shops and restaurants is a mere 5 minutes away by bike or car (or, for those of you who enjoy some exercise, a 30-minute walk). We have two adorable dogs. They never have access to the cottage, however, so it is allergen/pet free. During your stay, we happily keep them in the house and only let them out to do their business in the front yard of the main house. You might hear the occasional bark, as they love to protect their homestead. But, most likely, you'll never hear them as the cottage is a comfortable distance away. BTW they are friendly and love meeting new people!

Located on a quiet street lined by 100-year-old Deodar trees, the private space ideal for couples; features a crisp, sleek aesthetic with succulents and a cozy outdoor lounge. Whether in town for a meeting in one of the surrounding areas or attending an event at the Rose Bowl, this home has everything you need to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. This private 500 sq. ft. studio apartment is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. In addition to the living space, there is a kitchen (see appliances below), large walk in closet, undercover porch and outside fireplace. This space comfortably fits 3 people, if you are happy to use the Milliard memory foam tri-fold mattress. If needing to do washing, a coin laundromat is .3 miles away from our home. Kitchen Appliances: Stove, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle, French Press, Nespresso, Aeroccino Milk Frother, NutriBullet and Soma filtered water jug. Amenities… Hairdryer, wifi, flat screen, TV with Netflix and Directv Now, full length mirror Guest will have full access to the studio apartment, yard, porch and fireplace. I like to meet guests upon arrival to give access and a tour of the property, but sometimes this is not possible. My husband and I live in the main house and are available to offer any advice on local attractions. The den sits behind the main house In Altadena, a short drive from good coffee shops and restaurants. It's accessible enough to explore the many eclectic neighborhoods of LA. There are numerous neighborhood trails that are great for walking. Although public transportation is available, the closest bus and Gold Line stop are about 1-mile away. We highly recommend having a vehicle to drive, but if in doubt, Uber! There is a designated parking spot on our property for you, and there is plenty of street parking (no restrictions, no tickets)!

Bright Hillside Studio with Leafy Gardens

Brew some coffee and step out into a tiered hillside garden and have a seat on deck patio of this enchanting hideaway. Charming interiors feature terra-cotta tile floors, eclectic artworks, and traditional furnishings, forging a laid-back atmosphere. Check out the Accessibility pictures for the lay of the land! Note: the TV is an Apple TV to be used with your subscriptions. The studio is the entire bottom floor of a 3 story house. It has its own separate access through the garden and is completely private from the rest of the house. A bathroom, kitchenette, dining/study area are included within your studio space. Laundry and Apple TV available upon request. Garden space and access is shared. Enjoy the deck and outdoor dining and lounging facilities as well as a gorgeous sunset view of LA. The entire bottom floor of the house is yours. Garden access is shared, as are the laundry machines in the main house. We are available at all times by phone, text or email. Bordering the neighborhoods of Eagle Rock and Highland Park, the area has an understated charm and offers an array of vibrant restaurants, coffee shops, and bars. Old Town Pasadena, a retail hub with charming eateries, is a short drive away. It is a 0.4 mile distance to the nearest bus stop on La Loma and Figueroa. (about a 10 minute walk from the apartment) The 81 Bus can take you to the Gold Line Metro in Highland Park in less than 15 min. The Gold Line runs between Pasadena and Downtown, where you can transfer to other trains. Please let us know if you would like an Apple TV set up for your arrival or at any point during your stay.

My Cozy Hideaway is close to Eaton Canyon. The name says it all: the studio apartment is nestled beneath a 100-year old pine tree in a quiet neighborhood. If you like succulents, you'll enjoy my gardens. The backyard has a gas barbecue grill and several eating & sitting areas. It is good for couples or business travelers. Couples with an infant or small child are also welcome to book since the daybed is an additional sleeping area. Please tell me if you need the daybed made up for sleeping.
