Lekker wandelen of mountainbiken in de bosrijke omgeving, een dagje op het water in recreatiepark Mookerplas of een bezoek aan Nijmegen, de oudste stad van Nederland. Eindhoven and Tilburg are also very easily accessible, and around the corner is also a beautiful cycling and walking area: De Kampina and the Drunen dunes. There are also many museums nearby.

The pearl of this region is still the viper, one of the rarest reptiles in Flanders. Besides hiking and biking, the area is also suitable for day trips like visiting the 'Lilse Bergen' in summer (4.1km), the abbey of Westmalle (13km), Lilse Golf & Country (2.2km). Antwerp is also with 40km not very far.
