Castle Garden Cottage is a 16th century Thatched Cob Cottage tucked away in the grounds of our home, with stunning views of the river Avon Valley. Woodgreen is a beautiful village within the New Forest National Park with its friendly pub /superb restaurant and village shop. Castle Garden Cottage is the perfect secluded hideaway with its own garden and garden furniture, so you can sit back and relax and enjoy the beautiful evening sunsets or just stroll in the woodland glades of the forest.
“I went to Karen's place for three nights with my golden retriever, Honey. Karen had left some tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk and a homemade walnut cake, which was so thoughtful. The cottage was just the right size for us and I always felt safe and secure there. Although it wasn’t cold in the cottage, I put the electric blanket on before I went to bed and I felt so snugly, just lovely after a day out walking with Honey. The village of Woodgreen is small, with lovely, friendly people. There’s a shop which sells local produce and most things you’d need and a pub which has a very good, not too expensive menu. Also I had some tasty fish and chips from a mobile van which parks up outside the shop late afternoon on a Saturday. Karen and Richard were very good hosts and I really enjoyed talking to both of them. I knew where they were if I needed them but they also let me have the peace and quiet I love so much when I stay in the New Forest. It was a lovely stay, thank you very much Karen and Richard!”
Deer Park Studio is set in the grounds of our beautiful garden, in the heart of an area of outstanding beauty. A perfect place to explore the New Forest and beaches. Locally we have the village of Cranborne and a selection of places to eat.
“This accommodation, although a garden building is deceptively spacious with a large double bedroom, spacious bathroom and a foyer area. Heating is provided by a large radiator in the bedroom and a heated towel rail in the bathroom. Decor and bedding etc is all of a high quality and design. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and there is a very nice and reasonably powerful shower (I hate showers that deliver a weak flow!) There is also ample parking space reserved for guests and Clare very kindly made sure that the drive lights were on to guide me to this space at night. The breakfast is of a continental nature (granola & croissant). For me this was the least appealing aspect of my stay as I enjoy the fried breakfast associated with a B & B type tariff (although I'm probably a lot healthier and hopefully a little slimmer as a result of not having one!). I thoroughly enjoyed my 2-night stay, the purpose of which was to visit my parents and a sister who live in Cranborne (5 mins drive away) Clare was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and thought it represented good value.”
