This is a private rental inn surrounded by the rich nature of the Iizuna Highlands. It was built in 1998, the year of the Nagano Olympics, at an altitude of 1200 m. The traditional wooden building, finished without a single nail, was completed by a renowned architect and a master carpenter. It is a calm space where you can feel the warmth of the craftsmanship. The strong yet delicate wooden frame, natural light through the shoji, and the shadows created by Isamu Noguchi's AKARI lighting create a beautiful fusion of tradition and modernity. The interior walls are made of Tosa plaster by artisans. You can have a comfortable stay regardless of the season, surrounded by the scent of cedar and cypress. The size is 195 ㎡. There are 4 Japanese-style rooms with 8 tatami mats that can accommodate up to 10 people. This place is perfect for those who want to experience the beauty and tranquility of Japan. Iizuna Kogen, where you can enjoy the seasonal nature. Beautiful green summer, colorful autumn leaves, and winter with snow-covered scenery - you can feel a different charm every time you visit. A highland summer resort with cool, refreshing breezes in the summer. Please spend a quiet and comfortable time relaxing in nature. Winter sports are also available at nearby ski resorts in winter. Mökki means 'cottage' in the Nordic language of Finnish. Please enjoy your time in a special place surrounded by nature. Guest house Mökki is located in Shinano-machi, which is blessed with forests, lakes and snow in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture. Nearby are the natural wonders of the Kurohime Kogen, Lake Nojiri and Togakushi. You are free to use the entire property, including the comfortable building renovated with natural materials such as cedar, cypress, and plaster, the natural garden with its seasonal scenery, and the forest with its flowing stream.In the forest, which has been well maintained, you can see birds, squirrels and martens, and you can enjoy walks looking for wild vegetables and mushrooms, as well as swings and hammocks. We have also paid close attention to the interior design of the rooms and the kitchen utensils so that you can enjoy 'living'. In the gazebo by the stream, you can enjoy a BBQ or a bonfire without worrying about the weather. It is also ideal as a base for skiing, backcountry, hiking, and forest walks, and is recommended for couples and partners who want to stay in harmony with nature. It is also the center of Hakuba Village, and you can spend a special time in the quiet of the Northern Alps. We can also pick you up at Nagano Station. You can stay here as a summer resort during the summer season from July to September. It is located about a 10-minute drive from Shinano-machi IC on the Joshinetsu Expressway, with excellent access by car. As a base for sightseeing in all seasons! 15-20 minutes by car to Togakushi, Iinuma, Kurohime, Madarao, and Myoko. In an area with famous powder snow ski resorts, you can easily enjoy winter sports in the winter. Well maintained! The private sauna is equipped with a Finnish wood-burning sauna stove. You can also enjoy a self-lowering bath. Enjoy a luxurious sauna time and forest bathing in a water bath with a magnificent view of Mt. Kurohime. You can enjoy the comfort of warmth and refreshment at the same time. It has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 9 people. We also have a bathroom, toilet, air conditioner, washing machine, and dryer, so you can stay with peace of mind even for consecutive nights. Earthboat is a hotel-like room with a fluffy bed, and you can enjoy the authentic outdoors, so you can feel free to camp novice. Minimal cooking utensils and coffee maker in the room and a BBQ grill outside. When it gets chilly, warm up slowly in a private wood-burning sauna with all buildings. Spending time with stunning views of the Togakushi Mountains creates a special time. Close to Togakushi Shrine, you can easily play in nature such as climbing, skiing, snowboarding, etc., and the ski resort is adjacent to one of the attractions. It's a great location Earthboat with a view of the beautiful mountain range. Please enjoy the scenery that changes depending on the sunrise, sunset, and time, from the barbecue, sauna breaks, and, of course, the large windows of the room. This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)
