Welcome to Ishpeming ("in the sky"), a beautiful year round private lakefront cottage on Manitoulin island- the largest freshwater island in the world. This relaxing four season vacation home sleeps 7 with 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, and an elevated west-facing patio offering spectacular sunset views of Lake Mindemoya. The open concept living dining room has a stone fireplace, vaulted ceilings and expansive windows that are perfect for preparing meals, cozying up and making lasting memories.

COUNTRY CABIN

This all repurposed bunkie is in a picturesque setting on Manitoulin island. It has a large deck to enjoy the day . 230sq ft living space inside. It offers a queen size bed for our guest to find comfort and rest , along with a futon ; this cabin has a wonderful rustic feel. The cabin is framed with a beautiful wood finish with select antiques as decorations. This humble cabin has solar lights, bar fridge, power bar to charge devices. The washroom is a compostable outhouse. We have fire wood.

The nature loving couple or single traveller will love this comfortable outdoor living, mini-camping (glamping!) experience (no running water or kitchen/camp cooking). Bunkie size 12' x 16' . Approx 30 min drive from Chi cheemaun ferry service. A 20 min drive if arriving by Little Current swing bridge.

A smaller cottage, built in 1973, it is comfortable, with direct private lake access across a low traffic road. Sitting up on a slight hill, it has lovely views of the lake. Enjoy the warmer waters of an in-land lake, beautiful sunsets, and great fishing. Come and enjoy beautiful Mantoulin Island and one of its most beautiful lakes, Lake Mindemoya. * mobility issues ? The cottage sits on a hill and will be challenging if land gradation changes are a challenge.

The Net Shed

Welcome to this historical landmark overlooking beautiful Lake Manitou; named The Net Shed. In 1991 the original fisherman's Net Shed was moved from its original 1920’s home in South Baymouth to Tehkummah and then in the mid-1990’s to its current home. This newly renovated all season cottage has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom that comfortably sleeps 7 people. Come and enjoy the sunsets on Manitoulin's most beautiful lake ! STA Licence #2024STA-004

The Cedar Rose

Built in 2018, our off-grid cedar cabin is tucked away in a mixed woodland on beautiful Manitoulin Island. It is uniquely decorated with antiques, thrift store finds and handicrafts collected from our travels around the world as far as Africa, Japan, Costa Rica and Canada’s Arctic. Our space is an inviting space to unwind, unplug and wake up to the sounds of the birds after enjoying the stars on a clear night.

The loft hugs you with its warmth from the moment you walk in the door. High-end amenities and well designed space will allow you to enjoy the peace of the island from the comfort of this tranquil get-away. Of our 8 cabins, this the only one not direction on the water. We provide access to the water on the shared dock. It does, however, have stunning views as it's up on the hill.
