Stay in a traditional Dutch Miller’s Cabin beside an authentic 1632 windmill, surrounded by canals and nature in the North Holland countryside. Hand built during the windmill’s restoration, the cabin offers a peaceful and unique stay while still being close to Alkmaar and only 40 minutes from Amsterdam by train. I am a traditional Dutch miller born and raised in Alkmaar, and my American wife, Kelly, and I enjoy sharing this special place with guests from around the world.

Get away from it all, enjoy nature on the edge of the IJsselmeer and beach. In the 3300m2 backyard of our farmhouse are two detached tiny houses with a large private garden and private entrance with lots of privacy. The cottage is within walking distance of the historic city of Medemblik and close to Hoorn and Enkhuizen. Amsterdam is 45 minutes away. Various possibilities for water sports. Beach, ports, shops etc. reachable within 5 minutes by car and 25 minutes on foot.

The cottage is very cozy and complete and has a lovely terrace in the greenery, while you are only 200 meters from the center of Alkmaar and 10 minutes walk to the station. The cottage has its own entrance for maximum privacy and 1 free parking space. All comforts such as WiFi, TV, Stereo, AC, Combi oven, Washing/Drying machine, Kitchen equipment are provided. On the terrace there are chairs, a table and a BBQ.
