Im Frühjahr und Herbst kann man Kraniche beobachten. Zum Sandstrand der Schabe sind es wenige km, ca 7 Minuten mit dem Auto. Zum Königsstuhl, dem weißen Kreidefelsen läuft man ca 20 min durch hohe alte Buchenwälder. Hier kann man in Ruhe entspannen und hat trotzdem alle wichtige Orte der Insel der Insel in der Nähe.
