In the past, La Guardiola was placed to defend the entrance to Porto Azzurro from the sea. It had two key features: an extensive and dominant view and immediate access to the sea. The view of rare beauty, the sea that pervades every environment, the peace and scents of the Mediterranean scrub, make this place magical. THE MUNICIPALITY OF PIOMBINO HAS INTRODUCED THE ACCOMMODATION TAX OF €1.50 PER PERSON FOR EACH NIGHT SPENT IN THE CITY. THE TAX IS REQUIRED FROM JUNE 1 TO SEPTEMBER 30. The tax must be paid in cash upon arrival in the apartment for the total of the nights booked. Porto Azzurro, the house, with beautiful view, has been renovated recently. (2015-2016). The house has good place for 4 persons, but can have place for 6. The beach, "Golfo della Mola", that is very close to our house, is perfect for who has a kayak or a small boat. To bath we recommend sand beaches that is 1-2 km away.
