My place is close to Muncie, Indiana and Ball State and Taylor Universities. You’ll love my place because of the location, it feels like a secluded lodge. The timber frame structure is unique and has all the comforts of home. It is very quiet and peaceful. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (dogs).
“10/10 would recommend!!! This beautiful secluded pool house is everything you need and more. From the tiki torch lit private hot tub to the welcoming pool area you won’t be disappointed. We loved our stay and we can’t wait to go back again. Sarah and her husband were so gracious and hospitable and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience.”

“Where do we start? This is such a gem! So peaceful and lovely here, the perfect place to relax and unwind! Fishing from the upright paddleboat is so nice and much easier to get in and out of than a kayak! The cabin and pond both feel much bigger than what they appear to be in the photos. So many lovely touches, such as the very quality sounding expensive Bluetooth speaker available to use, the beautifully set dining table, the soft comfy throw blankets for chilly mornings drinking coffee on the porch, the seasonings in the cabinet for grilling out, etc. The driveway takes you to the side door that walks into the studio dining/living/kitchen/bedroom. The wrap-around porch goes from that side door and around the corner to the backside, with a dining table and chairs and a bench that overlooks the pond and a door there to take you back into the bedroom/living room area. You can fish from the porch, but only if you're careful not to get caught up in the grass and rocks along the side of the pond directly below. You can't actually fish right from the yard very well unless you walk 15 yards over to the point, near the boathouse that holds the kayaks. There's a bench swing sitting closeby the point to relax on as well. On the other side of the cabin, just about the same distance away, is where the pier and paddleboat are. Drinking coffee on the porch bench while watching bluegill in their beds, watching huge 1' round turtles slowly swimming, listening to bullfrogs, and gazing at hummingbirds flitting from one feeder to another each morning was such a delight! We caught some nice size crappie and bluegill every day! We thought there were only smaller (8" to 12") largemouth bass until we hooked into a monster hog of a bass! When he jumped out of the water to spit the hook out, we about died! So exciting! The fridge was plenty big enough for 3 days of food and beverages. There were containers available for our leftovers, plenty of utensils/cookware/grilling utensils for our use, toiletries if we forgot any, and a nice stovetop for breakfasts if we didn't want to grill out. We will definitely be staying here again in the future! We loved the solitude and not having any other houses down near us or on the pond! Can't wait to relax here again! PS. We have AT&T phone service and had very spotty data available if at all. But, most of the time, our calls and texts went through okay.”
Historic meets modern in this unique space. Built in 1872, this one-room church turned Airbnb provides a one-of-a-kind experience and has been featured on Condé Nast, Love Exploring and Indianapolis Monthly. The entrance to Monroe Lake at Fairfax is literally steps away, and it’s only 11 miles from IU and downtown Bloomington. Enjoy the perfect resting place or sit by the fire after a long day on the water or visiting IU. The large, circular drive even provides pull-through parking for a boat.
“Great little weekend getaway for us! It’s extremely close to the state park entrance which was amazing! The studio was so open and stylish stocked with everything you’d need. We loved the coziness and the bed was super comfortable! Bathroom was very roomy and we just loved every part of the little chapel! One downside, it’s right on a busy road and was loud at times, but that was disclosed in the description, so it was not a surprise for us. We will definitely be back!”
