Beautiful, warm and cozy cottage with beds for up to 4 people. It's located in the countryside 18 km from the town Egilsstaðir on road 931. It's on the south side of the lake on the way to Hallormsstaður the biggest forest in Iceland. The next grocery store is in Egilsstaðir. Good paved road, passable all the year. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful landscape, nice hiking trails down to the lake or up to the hills, good place to see the northern lights in wintertime.

A perfect location to explore the local sightseeing, and a stone's throw away from the best restaurants and bars of Reykjavik. Please note this is a multi listing property. Some of the units have covered balconies and some of them have open balconies. The apartments from this type are located from ground till seventh floor and have limited view.

The Blackhouse

The rental includes the first floor only of The Blackhouse: 3 twin bedrooms, 1 bathroom with walk in shower and a living room with a tv. Kitchenette that includes: a microwave, small fridge, sink, kettle and coffee, dishes and cutlery. No stove or pots or pans. The rental is not shared with anyone else. We live on the second floor and have a separate entrance.
