The Birkenhof is located in a secluded location in the middle of the Appenzellerland in Herisau. It is completely surrounded by meadows and forests and borders on various hiking trails. From here you can walk, hike, cycle and swim. Around the Birkenhof there is a magnificent mountain view of the Alpstein. The towns of Herisau, Appenzell and St. Gallen are close by. Take the time you need for yourself/yourself, you will feel comfortable. The apartment is more of a studio, if not a loft, and therefore very popular with guests. The studio does not have its own access. The studio is accessed through the house of the hosts. Two people sleep on the sofa bed. Parking is available right in front of the house. There is no elevator, but stairs ;) From the location, you can visit Appenzell, as well as St. Gallen is close to public transport!

In our detached house, we rent our modern studio. The studio is located on the 1st floor, has its own entrance and is completely separate from our living area, except for the common staircase. We attach great importance to sustainability and heat our own home with geothermal energy and generate electricity with our PV system.
