The "Hühnerhaus"

The hen house is located in the middle of the beautiful Permagarten, below a former monastery, on the Katzenhof in Bachhaupten. Gabi and Guido live their dream of independence here and want to expand the farm sustainably and suitable for grandchildren. For example, the walls and ceiling of the hen house were made from the over 200-year-old plank boards of the main house. The "gray water" is used in the garden and the "separating toilet" works without drinking water flushing. The equipment also includes WLAN (suitable for video calls), heating and a Smart TV with streaming services.

The granny apartment is in a very quiet location without through traffic at the edge of the forest. The surroundings invite you to take long walks, bike tours or hikes. The apartment has about 40 square meters of living space and has a separate entrance, as well as a terrace overlooking the pond. Überlingen on Lake Constance is in approx. 15 minutes by car. The nearest swimming lake Illmensee or Pfullendorf is also in approx. 20 minutes.

We are renting a newly converted apartment in a rural village. The apartment is located in our farmhouse in which we ourselves live in a residential unit and which we are gradually expanding and renovating. There is a separate entrance. The apartment has 1 bedroom, 1 living room, 1 bathroom and a small kitchen where you can take care of yourself superbly. Parking is available. Wi-Fi access is available.

A place to switch off and relax. For extended hikes you do not need a car: the small residential area connects directly to large forest areas. By (e-)bike, 5 (bathing) lakes can be reached within 2.5 hours. Lake Constance or the Danube can be reached by car in 30 minutes. Or you can simply enjoy the garden of the lovingly renovated log cabin and take time for thoughtful walks...

The area of the apartment offers a versatile and unique natural landscape. In addition to the Burgweiler Ried (2500 ha), you can reach Lake Constance, Friedrichshafen, Stein am Rhein, Ravensburg, Mainau Island and much more in 30 minutes. In Wilhelmsdorf, there are many shopping opportunities and many beautiful attractions. We are happy to give tips for leisure activities.

The apartment has been newly built in an old farmhouse (anno 1833). During construction, care was taken to use as many natural building materials as possible (wood, clay, hemp). The partitions were designed as half-timbered walls. The living room forms a room with the kitchen. The apartment is about 60 m² and is barrier-free.
