Veslekoia - Grandma's Cottage

Veslekoia (1963) is a nostalgic, animal-friendly and sheltered 39-square-metre cabin on Løtenfjellet. The cabin has solar power that is mostly sufficient to charge phones. There is cell phone coverage on site. There is no running water in the cabin. Water jugs can be filled at a water post along the road, about 2 kilometers from the cottage, close to Budor Gjestegård and the alpine slope. The cabin has a fireplace in the living room and a traditional wood stove in the kitchen. In the outhouse there is an outhouse and woodshed. There is a year-round road to the cabin.

The cabin is close to Rena alpine and there are great cross-country skiing opportunities outside the door. The slalom slope is open on weekends and cross country tracks are run on weekends. In summer: hiking in the forests and fields, hunting and fishing and Sorknes Golf. Swimming at Rena camping (Centre) or in beautiful Osensjøen 40 min away. Clean downtown - cafes, shops, cinema, bowling- 1 mile Suitable for couples/families, child friendly.

The accommodation is nicely located and undisturbed in child-friendly, quiet, and pleasant neighborhood. Distance to the center of Rena is 4 minutes by car, possibly 20 minutes walk. The home has a large and sunny plot of 2.3 acres , with a south-facing covered terrace. This facilitates the active use of outdoor environment with barbecues and pleasant moments all year round. There is proximity to bus, train, grocery, shopping center, etc. The forest is close by and there are nice hiking opportunities in the nearby area both on the legs, ski and bike.

The house is located on the east side of Osensjøen with nice views and easy access to the sea where there is a pier with a lot of sun and the opportunity for fishing and swimming. The area around Osensjøen has good opportunities for hiking and biking in the summer and skiing on prepared trails in the winter. About a half hour drive to Trysilfjellet which is Norway's largest ski center with lots of slopes and lovely ski tracks Here there are also lots of adapted bike paths for all ages as well as many other activities in the summer.

Not far to golf course, go-karting. Refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and microwave. Freezer can be used. Sleeps 5 people. Not allowed with animals. The farm is about a 15 minute drive by car to the city, Elverum. A grocery store is about 13 minutes away. You should have a car to stay with us. You will find an operating farm, with tractor driving at times but also silence, nature, trees, fields and forest as neighbors. Occasionally you can see moose and deer on the land. Occasionally, it's the northern lights!
