There is approx. 10 minutes walking distance down to the city center with railway station and the University College and 3 km up to Birkebeinerstarten, as well as about 3 km to Rena camp. There is also a gazebo/greenhouse on the property that can be used to enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a good book

There is a short distance to the Birkebeineren ski stadium which has a large network of hiking trails. 15 minutes drive to Nordseter and about 20 minutes drive to Sjusjøen with great hiking trails and ski slopes. Hoppbakken is only 3 minutes drive from the cabin with great views of the city. 5 minutes by car to the nearest grocery store. For alpine skiing you have Hafjell which is 25 minutes away and Kvitfjell 1 hour away.

In winter there are nice ski runs right outside the door and the atmospheric cabin in combination with the sauna creates the perfect winter experience. Our garden house has a plain Norwegian cabin standard with everything you need for making simple meals. Some basic food supplies will be available. As we have no running water in the garden house, we have placed a water dispenser in the kitchen area. Your bathroom, with floor heating and shower, is situated right next door, in the main house. The garden house has its own terrace, with access to the garden.
