There are many beautiful, authentic villages in the area, and the endless polders and the bird-rich salt marshes of the Wadden Sea can be admired within cycling distance. A visit to the city of Groningen and islands of Schiermonnikoog and Borkum is also worthwhile!

On clear nights millions of stars twinkle overhead and the moonshine is so bright, you can read a book in it.
