The bunkie has a great view of the rising sun with farm fields in the distance. You can listen to the crickets all night by the camp fire. It's a quiet rural area (please note it is a GRAVEL road), good for couples, solo adventurers, hunters, someone looking to be outside of town. The bunkie is located approx. 30 feet behind our home. We have 2 large dogs on site (live in the house). For allergenic reasons and safety of other animals, we do not allow pets.
“Jennifer’s cabin in the country was the perfect get away from the city, it was very clean and fully equipped with everything we needed to relax and have a great time. Jennifer is a lovely host; she is kind, helpful and considerate of her guests. We were greeted upon arrival and she helped us organize our day time activities. She even had extra firewood so we could have multiple bonfires! I would absolutely recommend Jennifer’s cabin in the woods to any couple or solo traveller looking for a peaceful getaway.”

“I stayed here for a 4 day getaway with my 3 children. Laurie and Robin's place was kid heaven! Swimming, paddle-boarding, pedal boating, fishing, playing in the sand, trampoline and play structure, horses and chickens, campfires. There was never a shortage of things to do (I did not hear an "I'm bored" once!) Laurie and Robin were warm and accommodating hosts and provided all the extra touches that make a stay like this feel really special. I cooked all our meals and had no problem doing that - the kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and all the cooking tools needed. The cottage was spotless and smelled fresh when we arrived. Beds were fresh and comfortable with enough extra pillows and blankets for everyone's needs. I've already recommended this place to friends and we will certainly be back! Thank you Laurie and Robin, for a mini vacation that exceeded all my expectations and the creation of some great family memories for us!”
Explore some of the most breathtaking old-growth hardwood and cedar forest in Ontario. Red pine, cedar, jack pine, untouched Canadian wilderness and stunning fall foliage. Deer, porcupine, foxes, blue jays, cardinals, chipmunks, hummingbirds, heron. Our forest loft is located in the middle of a large thousand-acre forest, overlooking a valley, surrounded by tall cedars and maples. Two clear ponds are a 10-minute walk away from the barn and are great for swimming during the summer months.
“Wow! Just wow! Great weekend away from the city. So peaceful- even slept for 10 hours, which never happens! Valentine was so accommodating- even lent some snow boots because my boyfriend forgot his. Such a unique place to stay! I was surprised how warm the barn got and the pictures doesn't do justice! This place is beautiful! Very “instagramable” We will be back in a warmer month to enjoy more activities! Thanks again!”
