Welcome to our home ! A warm and welcoming room for guests visiting Ipswich for business or pleasure. This is the perfect location to enjoy Ipswich and the surrounding areas of Suffolk. You are only 5 minutes walk to local supermarkets and restaurants and a short drive to the town centre. There is also free parking on the road outside the house.
“You will receive a warm welcome at Mary's place and a comfortable night's sleep - the pillows, mattress and cotton bed linen are of an excellent quality and were much appreciated after a long and exhausting journey with an aching back. My room was warm, cosy and quiet and had a pleasant outlook and there was space to sit and write, i.e a computer desk, which is always a bonus. Mary's home is spotlessly clean and ideally situated with a bus stop at the end of the road should you want to visit central Ipswich or the traditional seaside town of Felixstowe which is a must-see if you are not familiar with Suffolk. Sainsbury's is just round the corner and John Lewis and Waitrose are less than ten minutes walk away. And, of course, as Mary points out, there are plenty of eateries in close proximity. I highly recommend Mary's place.”
Welcome! We have a single room available for guests in our family home. The room has a shared bathroom upstairs with a shower and toilet. We are a 15 minute walk from the hospital and town centre and on the bus route to BT at Martlesham.
“Very friendly host with nice single person ground floor room. Upstairs bathroom with easy to use facilities. Freedom to come and go independently. Fully recommended!”
The little barn is part of the Red Lion a local pub/restaurant in Chelmondiston, it is furnished in a clean uncluttered modern style with a luxurious bathroom and kitchenette, there is ample parking
“Having stayed in air B and B’s across the world, this has to rank as one of our all time favourites. The barn is next to the pub but don’t let that put you off. It’s a civilised country pub and there is no noise that comes into the space. We also ate in the pub which Doug runs with his lovely partner. The hospitality, standard of food and service we received was nothing short of 5*. From the minute we arrived to when we departed it felt super special. The burn is beautiful inside and tastefully done with a wet room, beautiful kitchen and loads of lovely little touches that I’ll leave as a surprise for you! Only wish we had stayed for 2 nights!”
