“This was by first Airbnb experience. However, having previously lived in St. Thomas and visited several times in the last 30 years, I was able to make an informed decision on this rental. Great space that beats any hotel price in St. Thomas. Awesome view on a very spacious deck. Super quiet and safe environment. The road is in bad shape for the last half mile, but Google Maps found the location easily. Very responsive host.”
Located on the cool Northside of St. Thomas, our home looks out over a large flat-ish yard & a panoramic view of Magen's Bay, the Atlantic Ocean, and 20 small islands. Your unit has a private entrance 5 steps down from your dedicated parking space.
“My boyfriend and I just finished up an amazing week in Dean and Melissa's place. We loved St. Thomas and this was the perfect place to stay while exploring the USVI! The apartment is spacious and clean. Dean and Melissa provided beach towels, chairs, and noodles that we brought to the beach every day. The view from the deck is breathtaking. At night you can hear various birds and creatures all around you, making you feel like you are really in nature. We woke up to the roosters every morning. Dean and Melissa were also great hosts, providing us with recommendations on local beaches and restaurants. We would definitely recommend renting a car to explore the island. We enjoyed spending time at Magen's Bay and Lindquist Beach. One day we took the ferry to Water Island, rented a golf cart, and went to Honeymoon Beach, which was so beautiful and so fun. We would definitely recommend taking the ferry to St. John for a day. It was easy for us to bring a car over (we made a reservation for the 9 am ferry the evening before). In St. John we went to Trunk Bay, Hawksnest Beach, and Cinnamon Beach. They were all incredibly beautiful. We also drove to Coral Bay and went to Lime Out, which is a floating taco bar out in the water. It was very cool and the drinks and tacos were amazing. For dinners we went to Hull Bay Hideaway, Brooks Bar, Sib's, and Mafolie, which were all great. All in all, this trip was one of the best we've had and Dean and Melissa's place was absolutely the perfect place to stay!”
Located in the Historic district of Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas, this 215 year old manor offers a charming cottage to call home which exploring and experiencing the islands. The "Olde Danish Cookhouse" was lovingly restored and fashioned into a one bedroom cottage with it's own private entrance. It's walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, banks, groceries and easy transportation to all the beaches and islands. Come and experience the Caribbean lifestyle in the heart of town!
“We were very happy with our stay at the Old Danish Cottage. Steve gave us great tips for our stay. The cottage is in Charlotte Amalie which is downtown area of St. Thomas. The best thing about this place is the location. Everything is accessible either by foot, by safari cab or by multiple private cabs which are one block away. We were able to save a lot on car rental (another one of Steve’s great advice). We mostly hung out so did not have a chance to cook but Steve had provided basic kitchenware for us along with welcome breakfast and beer. A deck with great view, although our trip was very short so did not get to enjoy a lot of time there. Overall great experience. If you are looking for living in the downtown area and enjoying the beaches as a day trip then this is the place for you.”
