Come and enjoy an evening in our home in the beautiful Laurel Mountains.
“Craig's place is the very reason that direct owner rentals are so wonderful because...if there were no direct owner rentals where an owner can set frequency, duration, and seasonality of their rental, I doubt that this family would offer for rent such a miraculous family compound to the public and we would never be graced with its gloriousness! Those 100 acres and the house truly were magnificent. Craig and his family (mom and dad, in particular) were equally magnificent. The "duplex" was set up as mom/dad house with an 3-story addition that included two suites--one for each of the grown children's families--plus mancave for all. There is a shared hallway with a door to mom and dad home, but they don't use it. We had exclusive use of the mancave during our trip; however, the dad needed to clean the pellet stove once every day or two (love those things). We were surprised by the lack of kitchen (it was a bar kitchenette with bar sink and no oven range but a HUGE fridge). The mom was eager for our suggestions, and she is working to get a toaster oven, crockpot, etc. The driveway is long, mountainous, gravel, and not plowed. To get to the house is a 40 degree long gravel hill. Our minivan--which was an emergency switch with our Forester--did make it, but only with a running start. Our Outback was fine (it could climb a rock face). We have a farm road ourselves which we do not plow so I know the drill; I do not advise staying at this location in winter if no 4WD. Happily, we had no snow for the van navigate (and they were sweet to offer to cart us if needed). We also were super close to Hidden Valley and Seven Springs, the point of our trip. All and all we loved this home, we loved this farm, and we loved this family! We cannot wait to return next year (with both the Forester and the Outback)!”
“Camp home was amazing! Cozy and warm atmosphere. Had a fire pit back of the place! Me and my wife cooked food over the fire which was awesome!! We were there to celebrate our wedding anniversary! And we got to hike and enjoy yummy food by the fire and relax. The place that we stayed at in camp hope was super cute. Its prefect for weekend get away. We both went on plenty of trails. Oh and cant forget!!! We were greeted with yummy chocolate chip cookies😊🙏🏻”

This super cute and cozy one-room cabin has a full-sized sofa bed and a full-sized futon with a fully equipped kitchen and a small table and chairs, heat and AC, and a separate bathroom with a vanity and small shower. All newly renovated using reclaimed wood.
“Very nice and peaceful getaway and I suggest everyone that is on the fence and looking at others places to stay, to pick this one. It is adorable and there are several state parks around to explore. The local food is good, too. Oakhurst grille has amazing salads and a nice staff. Cedar Pines had really good pizza and if you get wings or chicken strips, definitely try out their buffalo sauce. Also has a very friendly staff! If you encounter a dog on the property, it’s safe to approach! I believe the dog lives across the street. Sweetest dog alive! There is also a fluffy black cat that you might spot on the property. Anyway, very cozy and tucked away location. Janet is a great host! She responds to everything very quickly!”
