The layout of the home was truly a wonderful stay for my group who wanted to hit the slopes in Truckee. Each room was amazingly comfortable and everything felt like we were worlds away from the Bay Area. Farin's place is wonderful. She had amazing towels, plenty of pots / pans for cooking. During the summer month, visit the public beach at Chamber's Landing, less than a 10 minute bike ride, or just a three minute drive from your home. The sandy beach is next to Chambers Landing Bar and Grill, or stop at the Tahoma PDQ market and pick up a picnic lunch on your way to the lake. Venture south to Sugar Pine Point State Park, again less than ten minutes via car or bike, to enjoy sandy beaches, hiking trails, fishing, and a picnic area. “We really enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely. It is located close to neighbors on both sides but still a very quiet area. After a busy day hiking in the mountains it was a treat to return for the evening. Especially the hot tub, fireplace, and master shower. A few minor tips- if you’re going to utilize fireplace bring matches or lighter (none provided)- also, if you’re going to utilize kitchen bring aluminum foil and such (not provided).”

“Great house in a great neighborhood - Homewood is so close for skiing, we even walked to it one day (25 mins walk) - close to the lake. House was clean, big, beds and pillows comfy, heat was working great, lots of pots and pans, but was surprised not to find some basic things like salt, pepper, sugar, so bring your own. Maybe we are all spoiled at this point expecting these, but so far almost every airbnb had these (and more - like coffee, tea, oil, etc). Just a small suggestion! Overall, amazing value for a great house!!! Thank you so much, we will be back!”
